Running 18.2 on 15 Plus and is defingetly smoother and battery life has improved! So far a great experience internet could be a tad better but its for sure the best so far

My favourite visual change is the dark mode icons overall. Not tinted icons, I don’t use them. But dark mode icons on home screen and app library, and settings really gave iOS 18 a distinctive look. I occasionally use the clean up tool on photos and mess around with the writing tools on my mac, but not much else. I want to see the updated Siri to make more personal actions using voice which I am using more now. A slow rollout and too many things announced by Apple for sure, but overall a decent update. I hope they slow down on iOS 19’s new features and stabilise whatever they’ve built with iOS 18 and apple intelligence. AI need not be a big thing, but an updated and personal Siri can be really useful if done right..

My most favourite feature is the interoperability of calendar and reminders. The calendar app has much more clean “monthly” view and combined with displayed reminders, it is the most helpful change of iOS 18 by far

Iphone 13: still quite choppy, lots of frame drops, even just switching through pages of my home screen, keyboard bugs, but things are relatively smooth. They also definitely reduced the overall volume of AirPods pro 2 again, second time since release. Probably because they were insanely loud, and they are now selling them as hearing aids. I used to put the volume slider about halfway up and now it’s about 3/4. Also, Vehicle Motion Cues still doesn not turn on automatically (when set to automatic) when in a vehicle. Still have to toggle it on myself every time. Automatic has not worked for me since the release of iOS18. Lastly, these new AI features look horrible. Apple has gone from innovator to being a trend follower, and these AI releases are a bit embarrassing. Glad i don’t have an urge to update my phone anytime soon. Waiting for them to get rid of the eyesore named Dynamic Island.

There’s a bug in the emoji keyboard where you search for an emoji and tap on the emoji to use it and once it is used it does not save to your frequently used emojis (this only happens on third party apps like instagram, tiktok, KZbin, etc.)

I literally hate the design choice for 17 pro if that is accurate. Apple is messing up the design including the entire iphone lineup by introducing iphone air. It's actually really weird that apple changed the regular iphone camera placement vertically for spacial video recording only to go back to horizontal placement on the upcoming iPhone Pro's

Hey Aaron, I live in Ohio and I have my drivers license in my Apple Wallet. It’s a little bit of a process, at least in my state, to get it added. Not going to complain because Ohio is definitely trying to make sure that no one is committing fraud or stealing another person’s identity. Now, as far as use, it hasn’t been useful at all. I haven’t been to the airport for travel since Ohio became a state to allow it, but as far as everyday use, not helpful.

Hey Aaron. My main priority for the updates is security. I have the ios 18.2 on my regular iphone 15 and everything seems fine. The only issue I have you mentioned the delay of Face ID. Sometimes it happens, but not often. Maybe a 18.2.1 could fix it as well as other bugs others have. Keep up the good work. Handshakes from Canada.

Biggest bug I've seen so far on 18.2 is sometimes when I try to use Siri through my steering wheel button with CarPlay on the stereo, the stereo will reboot instead of letting me use Siri.

There’s a new camera control option on the 16 series. It’s located in the Display & Brightness section and requires the screen to be on for it to function.

I find the new camera orientation on the upcoming 17 pro interesting because we were told that in order to have spacial video the cameras had to be in the vertical orientation. Is this not true? The horizontal looks better though. The pixel nailed that when they first did it.

Running the final versions of 18.2 on my all Apple devices and wish I was still on IOS17. My HomePod mini frequently looses connection, the status of my devices in HomeKit takes ages to update. Never had these problems with iOS 17 or earlier. I’ve not added anything new to my devices in HomeKit and my HomePod mini has been in the same location for the past 2 years. I’ve reset my network connections and it didn’t help, next step is to wipe my Apple kit completely and start again .

Check your router firmware too if you don’t have the one from your ISP. I had the network issues with my HomePod in iOS 17. They kinda got fixed in some release but iOS 18 has been a solid upgrade for all my devices

My 15 pm has been amazing. Every updates that comes out my battery never changes. So far the only bug I’ve found with 18.2 is the AirPods volume issue you showed. Kind of spotty connection to my Apple Watch 9 but just like 18.1 it resolved after a few days. Thanks for the informative videos as always

Agree Erin CarPlay has been totally neglected, including just the regular one for us that don’t have $1 million. Give us a Weather card or some ability to customize which cards show. I don’t need it across my dashboard just on my main screen.

CarPlay is worse under ios18. My default CarPlay screen when I get in my car used to be whatever I had open previously. Now, every time I get in my car the screen defaults to the screen that shows navigation, music, and suggested locations. I then have to manually switch it back to music or whatever screen I was using when I turned my car off.

IOS 18.2 is OK. But the KZbin app is annoying because sometimes the KZbin playback intermittently switches to double speed by itself! It would be a huge improvement if the speed could be locked at normal speed in the KZbin app.

Graham Evans is correct, you are accidentally touching the screen. What seems to have changed is the ‘touch area’ for this feature or maybe some aspect of sensitivity. Either way, it’s a Google issue, not Apple.

I had the issue when changing lock screens and the apps turn white (large icons), I change back to dark icons but the dock refused to change to dark so I had to remove the icons from the dock and put back in the dock.

I’m actually very disappointed with Apple intelligent I thought I would use it more particularly the cleanup feature in photos but I don’t really use it. The Playground app is super buggy for me, especially on my M4 iPad Pro. The app crashes constantly. I even deleted it and re-downloaded it. Then the icon just had a grid of lines on it. Very poor app.

The only positive aspect of iOS 18 is the inclusion of writing tools generated by AI. This feature, at least for me personally, is quite useful. I’m currently using the 15 Pro Max, but unfortunately, the touch issues have resurfaced. Restarting the device did not provide any relief. If Apple fails to address the bugs related to the user interface, I genuinely believe that this will be my final Apple product.

I enjoyed the ios system, but was lagging at times and abnormal battery drain even when apps are closed. Used the iphone 14 brand new in box and was not happy at all, also KZbin videos would stutter/lag for a few seconds, so it was time for me to be switched to android. But i still like to hear what apple plans for the future of their system and products
