Since the iPhone X it has been a downhill disappointment. People justify buying a new iPhone every year just because the camera is slightly better. I don't know how people stay enthusiastic about tech when it has reached its plateau for several years now

@ I understand your pov, I was a huge fan of Apple and I still am for the most part. However after the X, I upgraded to the 11 just because my X stopped charging. Then I didn’t upgrade again until the 13 PM and now after 3 years upgraded recently to the 16PM and honestly part of me wishes that I would had just kept the 13 PM because there was absolutely nothing wrong with it other than the battery depleting little by little but it was still fine at 84% capacity. Anyways I will not be upgrading again until the 20th anniversary (unless android somehow wins me over, but I’m too into the Apple ecosystem, I prefer apple’s software on top of that so we’ll see).

@ the apple ecosystem is great yes but stepping out of it isn’t as hard as people think. But I’m not even here to suggest leaving apple altogether, I’m just saying the iPhones line of apple is such easy marketing to sheep who just want the newest iPhone but don’t understand why. You mentioned upgrading which I understand - the only real reason to upgrade is poor battery life. But even that is a scam, they’ve already been exposed for killing battery lives of phones that update to newer software so buying new phones is just making their ability to do so easier for them. I have my iPhone X and my battery health is on 72% and I haven’t updated my ios for as long as I can remember now. 72% sounds low but it honestly lasts me ages. Not only that but 1. No matter where you go there is always a socket to charge your phone 2. Just buy a portable charger instead of a new phone with an even sooner expiry date. Buying a new phone is literally only ever going to make things worse for you in the long run. Keep an old iPhone and stop updating the iOS. Unless you believe you simply can’t live without AI emojis 🤦🏽‍♂️🤣
