iOS 6 is like a well wrapped present in luxury paper with a neat little bow on top that's been carefully planned, kissed for luck and sprayed with perfume. iOS 7 is like a plain empty box someone found... and everyone loves the empty box and Apple just goes with that forever. Has the world gone mad? Maybe it's my taste that's messed up.

Apple didn’t necessarily ditch skeuomorphism. It’s cause of Scott Forstall who designed things for iOS back then getting fired cause of the failure of Apple Maps on iOS 6, the iOS designer switched to Jony Ive and he hated skeuomorphism.

i love neumorphism in ios 6 it has more character and made the os feel more personal, the apps used to have a feeling to it like the ipad would turn from an agenda to a bookshelf and then to a real calculator , flat design is simpler and faster for sure but it's very bland and make things just blend together, until now i think the calendar is very confusing and everything is mixed together, i might be wrong but that's how i feel as a user.

the iOS 6 ui does look nice but i kind of prefer the iOS 7 design, call me crazy all you want. although i do like the 3D design, iOS 7’s simplicity kind of gives me a better vibe. ios 7 also had a lot more features, like control center, airdrop, and the built in flash light.
