The reason this is happening while you laugh about it, Is the fact we are the 4th highest taxed state in the nation. Minnesotan's are sick and tired of it. There were western counties in Minnesota who are considering becoming a part of south dakota as well. This is nothing new, And has been all over the internet, BUT YOU DO NOT REPORT IT!!!! Minnesota will more tham likely turn red in 26 and this could very well happen unless taxes are dropped dramatically.

As a North Iowa county resident, I remember when covid was happening, all the stores and restaurants in Minnesota were shut down. I remember going to local stores and restaurants around my area and all that was there were Minnesotans who snuck across the border. Political - MN is usually a blue state, Iowa is usually a red state. I think it might transfer by 1 the number of electoral votes. So blue goes down by 1 naitionaly while red goes up by one. That's likely the reasoning behind this "proposal."
