Probably one of the gutsier calls in the relatively conservative Ferentz era. Must have had something to do with not so stellar red zone efficiency and OT's. But they got to start bowl play on New Years' Day in the Outback Bowl and whip Miss St 27-18, finishing at 9-4.

I’m not a fan of either team but Iowa is such a mediocre program but its fans are so ignorant which is funny because the Hawkeyes have always been garbage historically in college football. Iowa was, is, and always will be that mediocre program.

Just like any team, they have loyal fans, and recruits aren't lining up to go to Iowa, they do a hell of a job competing with 2 star and 3 star recruits. It's time for a coaching change though.

Last few seasons have been mediocre. We should've been 11-1 this year but we threw away 3 games that we could've won. We also went undefeated a few years back up until the big ten title game, and that was an extremely close game. We were literally inches away from the playoffs.
