This video was awesome! Can't wait to see the saga of these 2 DeLoreans unfold and watch y'all piece one (or both) of em back together.

Got to admire the dedication of that DeLorean emergency recovery team. That number 2 would fit in the "scrap for parts" drawer for me. I will always wonder why people buy collectible cars but let them turn into rubbish. So much destruction of value & things that will be hard to fix later... Those flood events sure didn't help either. 🫣 I would disassemble, clean & bubble wrap the hell out of those projects to store them in a healthy environment until I could work on it.

I appreciate the compliment. These trips and video's take a lot of planning and work. No plans to part out these. Both can be saved.

@michaelmcelhattan7238 Oh wow, thanks, Mike!! 🤘🏻😀 Being in the west suburbs of Chicago, I'm not too far from the DeLorean Midwest shop. At this point, though, it's still a pipe dream car or a win-the-lottery car.

I'm not sure but I think the Delorean used the same rear lights as the Rover SD1 which you can still purchase

We won’t rule that out if we’re ever in the area as we are pretty sure we left some things behind. It’s a solid 7 hour drive for us to get there so unfortunately we can’t just cruise over quick for another look. The owner of the property is on the lookout for us though so that could help!

Found this through Legitstreetcars. Good content you guys put out! Enjoyable to watch, even for someone who knows nothing about DeLoreans. Maybe lose the background music though, makes it a little hard to focus and doesn't improve the video.

Hi, The rear tail light you could not find, is it possible the owner used it on the car he sols years ago ? (you did say it was a downer car.

Second car can definitely be fixed. Better to have one more Delorean on the road then one in pieces. Wish I could have it myself.
@deloreannation9 ай бұрын
It will be up for sale if you’re looking for a project. Thankfully the frame appears to be in decent shape so it has a good starting point to rebuild.

@@deloreannation I don't think I would have the funds unfortunately. Really wish I could go for it however, but I do hope it gets the needed love, if it is still around in the future, it would still be on my radar. Been learning how to rebuild Deloreans just from knowledge for a while now. So I strangely would like a project car over a more whole car.

Well to be fair the guy was in poor health, the area had some big floods and he had them up on blocks and was never able to get them back down after. The rougher of the two cars was in an accident and he bought it to have for parts to fix his other ones. Thankfully they will both find new life again.

@terryhall39609 ай бұрын
I don't think he can really be classed as a hoarder since those sort of guys usually have dozens of cars lying around rotting outside that they have no hope of ever restoring, and there's no sign of that in this video. He kept these under cover and above the floodwaters. More likely a genuine restoration project by someone who just ran out of time than a true hoarder.
