basements are a must,don't ever build without one in tornado country glad there are no reported deaths or serious injuries ;be aware as i would suspect most were and this help prevent many deaths and injuries,the houses can be rebuilt Biden has already been involved and has help on the way no matter how your political views are ,it's time to care for this area
