The Music Man is the most thoroughly American thing since crossing the Delaware, and though 76 Trombones has been covered by just about every marching band, Iowa does it best. Well done, HMB!!

I grew up just 35 miles from the Iowa campus. I know live in south Texas. There’s still old gold and black in my blood.

That Black and Gold doesn't leave the blood. I didn't move as far away as you. I went from Louisa County, Iowa to South Central Nebraska, which wasn't so bad when I got there and explained that Hawkeyes were not from Moo U at Ames. Then Nebraska had to go change conferences. Still waiting for that"taking over the Big Ten" by the Huskers that I was told about.
