Ok for everyone commenting that these guys aren’t plowing deep. This is what we call a plow down party. Just neighbors who get together to have a good time and play with their vintage tractors. Mainly they are just turning waste from the harvest under so it doesn’t blow away.

That John Deere with the metal tracks on the rear is the neatest tractor I’ve seen

I dunno, I want to understand. Yeah, I know, it's "just for fun" or "demonstration purposes" but... hook two four-bottom tractors together to pull a four-bottom plow? What are we 'demonstrating'? That D on tracks is pretty awesome. Did anyone else catch the two IH 656s- one early, one late? I liked that. The kid on the JD H really seemed to know how to operate his machine.

I'd say it's most likely a bunch of guys playing with the toys they have. Like kids in a sand box.

For those that didn’t know John Deere was born in Vermont. Good Old Yankee Technology for sure.

What puts this all into persepctive is when you see a team of horses pulling a single row plow. Then think what is going thru the farmers head knowing its going to take forever to turn over all his acres!

I wish the camara man was closer so you could see the numbers on the tractors, ie 4020,656,D17.

The J.D,s at 0.26 to 0.36 are the sorts I used to see without the ROPS on at a garage on a crossroads in rural Lincolnshire , England , in the 1960,s . I never knew where we were as these were family bank holidays out at Cleethorpes , out of sheer interest I phoned J.D.U.K. a whille ago & got told they had no record of it , but possibly a place called Caenby Corner . Anybody else in England ever see these , they were obviously very well built even to a little lad,s eye (mine ) , but this was the only place you ever saw them , you never saw them in the midlands at all , now J.D. is THE make . Not so far inland from Grimsby , further across from Newark or Gainsborough .

If you ever wondered how hard two cylinder Deeres were on your ears you can often hear them in the background while watching other tractors on the screen. Why the reruns in the last half of the video? And who makes the twin conversion frames? I also own a Ferguson.

@@glennspreeman1634 rule of thumb, for best results plow half the width of the moldboard. If you have 18" bottom plow roughly 8-9"

Over here in Australia we have some very temperamental soil and it's like trying to plough concrete it's very fertile but hard to plough those tractors wouldn't be going that fast and the ploughs would need to be half the size

You'd think that with a video like this "normal people" would be safe. That we'd be able to simply admire old tractors while farmers plow a field without being subjected to the moral bankruptcy and sin that's seen and heard everywhere today. Fact is, it's so rampant that someone from half way around the world took the time to validate that truth, while others gave thumbs up in agreement. smh.
