葉正师父是當今詠春拳,是最正宗的師父,只有他才是真正盡得葉問宗师真傳的👍👍👍

Master says ( in simplified terms) Keep it simple for the beginners. Please don't make it too complicated and mysterious for the beginners. 3 points useful for beginners to keep in mind. 1. Keep the midline central axis stable. 2. Be aware of the transition of movement. Smoothly carry out one movement then transition to another movement. Avoid starting another movement without completing the prior movement. 3. Teach the student how to and when to exert force. ( no detail) Best Wishes

@RangRing68 Not locked, but one should allow the strike to go to it's full extension and then relax the tension after striking. If done correctly there will be a slight, natural relief of elbow tension when the strike is relaxed.

Thanks for this, you're the best!

There are so MANY variations between's GM Ip Ching and GM Ip Chun's Siu Nim Tao form... now I've watched this... I know what I saw, i have a video shot from multiple angles of the form performed by GM Ip Chun. I'm talking from Tan Sau level to the Fuk Sau, there is no Jum Sau in this video after each Fuk Sau... the Tan Sau drom from Bong Sau is also lower... it's just a slightly different interpretation of the form?

I know this is from ages ago but I just wanted to add that yes there are some variances but at the same time I think Sigung’s points are really the main emphasis of Siu Lim Tao: centerline, don’t pull away or off until you have completed each motion fully and when to exert force. I’m not sure it’s meant to be super rigid. If you look at Grandmaster Ip Chun, he also noticeably drops his arms before chambering. Can’t say either is wrong it’s just who your Sifu and lineage happens to be. Want your mind blown? There’s a video of an older Ip Chun starting SLT with right hand overtop and starts right whereas traditionally it is left hand overtop and start left. I don’t know if the camera is reversed or what?!

@ClaimNoName yes it was reversed, but both styles are right

Video clip time 0.18 ... 0.24, each time sifu throw his punch out, his head turn (slight). In fact, each time his fist/palm is out, his turn his head.. Is this really matter or not????
@callmedavex26 жыл бұрын
Law Tuck Mun not, if you are in a fight your head may be slightly turned, his focus seems to be on full extension at the moments you mentioned. This is ideal because it shows his focus is on hitting with the maximum force possible. As long as your spine doesn't move too far from center, which his stance keeps in alignment, I don't think a slight turn of the head would negatively impact the strength of the attacks.

@Law Tuck Mun , Well it doesn't matter to you but maybe it would have mattered to all the other WingChun ancestors... Your form shows how u would react in a fight situation.. It teaches u to focus ahead 180 degrees around u. By u turning ur head when u punc 1 u won't see ur opponent & 2 it will result in poor structure. When u punch. Build a house with poor structure .. It will crumble .

Got it.

@judutchinski its an attack....why would you hold it back? Let the energy out
@yehudathomashev33144 жыл бұрын
The purpose of the Siu Lim Tao is to generate and store energy for release at crucial points in the form.
@AndreiZabetTV12 жыл бұрын
I ask this because I also watched the Siu Nim Tao of a so called Wing Chun instructor in my country and his form is crap compared to either GM Ip Ching or GM Ip Chun... Now I'm not sure to criticize or not that instructor's form, maybe it's just a different interpretation? Still not sure I would want to learn from that local "instructor"... although his lineage comes from Sifu Donald Mak, which I respect.
