This week, the Institute of Public Affairs visited Central Queensland to release new research that shows 157,000 jobs will be put at risk due to the Queensland government’s net zero mandate, and the energy and emissions policies being promoted ahead of the state’s October election.
The research, completed as part of the IPA’s Australia: Our Future programme, shows 69 per cent of the jobs under threat are located in regional areas, particularly Central Queensland.
Not surprisingly, the jobs at risk are concentrated in sectors critical to our economic success including mining, agriculture, electricity supply, and oil and gas extraction.
Queensland’s resources and agriculture sectors are vital to the success of local regional communities, and generate substantial wealth and export revenue for Queensland and the nation.
All this is at risk under net zero.

Why are Australian politicians allowing elitists and China having any control over our country, people need to come to prayer, or we will end up like the states. Fast and pray to the only one who can help us. 2nd Chronicles 7:14 ‘If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.’ 🙏🇦🇺🌎

China & India and co with their rational approach are building Coal Fired Power Stations of the New Generation type which have minimal emissions similar to Nuclear and we could be doing exactly that at far less cost to bushland to jobs and to Australia's overall economic long-term prosperity.

Speaking of unaccountable, the IPA is funded by Gina Coalheart. So what else would you expect in a week when the Great Barrier Reef water temps have reached the point where bleaching events are more frequent that the coral lifecycle. So the Reef is doomed, no longer able to recover, and our premier tourist attraction is on life support.

Great to see a great Aussie patriot supporting the IPA. The reef coverage is at an all time high, so the reef is doing fantastically well.

I’m not a scientist but I was up there snorkeling in 2022 and the reef at Green Island was stunning. Made a complete comeback after the terrible crown of thorns devastation. Just curious have you been out there and seen something different? Not trying to be a smart ass genuinely open to you have to report on the reef.
