That’s one of the reasons why I bought the Logitech combo touch as the case detaches from the keyboard and it’s still protected.

The accessory with the best price-performance ratio imo is the Logitech combo touch. The keyboard and touchpad is bigger than the apple one. You can change the angle. The keyboard is easily detached and you can use it as a great protective case ob the road. The material is high quality and feels very nice to the touch, like a heavy fabric

I second this, it's really is a great product. The major trade offs are that you can't use it to type on your lap and it's very think when compared to the magic keyboard,. At the same time that thickness is extra protection, much better for children/corporate deployment.

Yup I have it and it is indeed the best! I love the fact that you can detach the iPad completely making it much lighter and then using it to take photos or scan documents. It is so nice and really protects it.

I returned the Magic Keyboard after trying the Logitech. I managed to get one for a steal and I love it!

The case protecting every side of the iPad and the detachable keyboard make it such a better design than the Magic Keyboard. If they added the smart connect and maybe a white color, I'm sure more people would choose it.

Same opinion here - the logitech option is my favorite in terms of bang for your buck and close enough functionality (90%). The magic keyboard is very nice - but doesn't seem to be a solid option if traveling vs. logitech. I also like that I get a tablet case/cover AND a smart keyboard

I use my M1 12.9" iPad Pro with the Apple magic keyboard. It's a great combo. The magnetic connection is very cool. When it's not on the MK, I keep my iPad in a Zugu case. Great video!

I agree with your selection. I especially like the screen protector on my iPad Pro (4th Gen). It really helps with notes and drawings. The only issue I’ve ever had with it is when I try to use it in direct sunlight outside but then that’s a difficult environment for any screen. I also use the Magic Keyboard but I after less than a year’s use I have to replace my left shift key. It suddenly got really mushy. For the price of this I expected a little higher quality.

I developed the habit of having a "travel tech bag" when I was constantly travelling for work. I use a TomToc shoulder bag with a padded tablet section to carry my 11" M1 iPad Pro and its accessories, which are: Magic Keyboard with D-Brand carbon fibre-look skin Apple Pencil Apple Magic Mouse 2 Iniu 20,000mA fast charging power brick (biggest you can take on a plane) Twick UK wall charger with folding pins SanDisk Portable Extreme 1TB SSD Moshi iVisor matte screen protector (only sticks around the edge, so no bubbles to worry about, easy to remove and replace, can be washed) USB-C to USB-C cable Apple MagSafe charging cable USB-C to Lightning cable (for the mouse) AirPods Pro All this is really light and easily fits under an aircraft seat.

I’ve just been watching iPad accessories videos for about an hour and I have to mention that I feel bit frustrated seeing your comment session. From other male KZbinrs that recommended the exact same products often the response is mostly “great video” or “good job”. I’ve seen several of comments here that seem more of a rebuke of a choice that you just said to be a personal preference or messages that seem to intent to explain you something that you literally just said. Comment session is great for sharing information but this seems to go a bit further than that 🙃 Thank you for your video, I found it very informative. I can tell that you are very knowledgeable and experienced on the subject, so I feel very confident on my upcoming purchases 💪✨

Looooove that color purple on the folio! I am very happy with my Magic KB from Apple and I can't imagine working without it now. I didn't like Logitech's. I have a separate 'laptop stand' that rotates and adjusts height and I put my BuJo notebook and iPad Air on it. I have to be mindful not to lean forward or over the desk for the sake of my back, so getting a stand was very helpful. The SketchBoard Pro looks really good, but I don't know if it'll fit my iPad Air. I think I saw someone use it, but it was in a tan wood color. I have the full silicone cover from Upper and it's the best I have had. I haven't used the ipad much, but it's really changed my quality of life. It also opened up digital drawing for me that was always elusive. And I really want to be able to make digital products for income by using the iPad.. just can't grasp how yet. Thank you for an in-depth video about using things that work. It takes a long time to find the technology that gives us the Goldilocks' Just Right feeling.

I have the ESR magnetic folio and it’s strong and keeps my iPad snug and safe. I especially like that it has the little extra to keep the Apple Pencil hugged and easily folds back. I feel like Apple accessories are extremely overpriced and I just don’t have the disposable income for it. However, if I ever do I would def invest in the Magic Keyboard for sure.

I have one of their snap in cases and while it works well it feels cheap, quality wise, which puts me off trying their magnetic one. Their screen protectora and paperlike dupes are great though

I also use a sketching glove for when I’m drawing I find when I don’t use it the side of my hand will move the screen it may be just because I’m left handed but I cannot draw on my iPad without it but you have a really good haul

Have you tried the otter box folio case? I just got that one for a little extra security. It’s very sturdy. I wanna know how it compares to the apple folio case you got though! I also got the uppr grip from a video you posted about it and I love it! And I got the paperlike screen protector you suggested! Do you use the hand guard sleeve consistently when drawing?

Haven't tried the otter box folio case, but I can certainly look into it :) As for the hand-guard, I don't use it consistently. Used it tons when I first got it but slowly stopped using it. Not a crucial accessory for me, but I don't regret getting it!

I always go with the Apple-made chargers for better battery life over time versus longer/faster chargers that will degrade battery life :) so I don’t have any that I’d recommend right now!

Honestly, for my Apple Pencil, I find that full sleeves tend to stretch out and slide all over the pencil too much. I’ll have to look at the Nimble grip.

I’m sorry but I absolutely have to say this: do not spend your money on that paperlike screen protector. Had it for my iPad after I tried a few off-brand ones simply because I was curious as to how the “real thing” would feel. Worst decision ever, it was the crappiest of them all! Scratched like crazy, still messed up my Apple pencil tip and didn’t even give me the paper-like feeling that the off brand screen protectors did. It didn’t last a week on my iPad, I went back to another cheaper one I got on amazon which is still the screen protector I have on my iPad to this day. Money completely wasted! I do not understand why so many people run ad campaigns for it, it’s absolutely horrible.

That’s your experience! But it sounds like you might have missed the true “Paperlike.” Mine has a paper like feel, no issues with my pencil tip, and was the best decision I ever made. I wouldn’t deter others from the chance to try it ☺️ glad you found something that works for you!

I had the exact same experience with the brand name paperlike protector. Wore down the nib of my apple pencil in two days. Now I use a magnetic paper-feel “protector” that was specifically designed NOT to destroy the apple pencil and can be easily removed when I’m not writing or drawing. From what I’ve seen, most folks that like Paperlike screen covers are very light handed when they write or draw, or they straight up say they don’t care about how quickly it destroys the pencil nibs. Some have said that after wearing down a few apple pencil nibs the overall paper feeling of the protector is reduced, but it doesn’t wear down nibs as fast.

The Paperlike protectors are so divisive. Other KZbinrs have pointed out that the company seems to have invested aggressively in placements in these videos and the reviews can be pretty brutal. At this point I lose a little confidence in a video as soon as it enthusiastically promotes one - I just don’t know who to believe 😅🤦🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

so many people were commenting on the price of the apple smartfolio case which i believe is justified for sure, but i'm glad you confirmed my thoughts about how the case did have things that the other 3rd party cases did not. personally i could not find a SINGLE one that was as clean and minimalistic, also white coloured and no branding!!! those were huge dealbreakers for me when looking and why i also chose to order the apple case.
