Hmm. I don’t think Apple produces the M3 again while the M4 is established. The M3 is too expensive to produce. The M4 with less CPUs and GPUs than in the iPad Pro M4 is much cheaper. Or the smallest chip of a new M5 line starts with the iPad Air in 2025. let’s wait and see if we raise arms or shake heads.

I've read (idk where, might be wrong) that the M3 was a pain to manufacture and the reason why they didn't bother launching stuff other than the MacBooks with it.

Thanks for the video, Matt! I just got a new imac and I love it. The plan was to get a new ipad Air for watching films in bed, but it might just be easier and cheaper to find a reliable bed table it can sit on. We'll see! Current plan, tho, is to get the 13" ipad air. Hope you had a good holiday!

MTT - Given the M3 doesn't have a production line anymore how does this make sense? I summise a limited 'M4' processor (M3) and the likes of the display is dynamic but only up to x3 of the respective regional TV display frequency. This iPad either must get an enhanced version of the M2 chip or just get the M4 chip like the iPad Pro has today. If Apple can’t do either, then they shouldn’t release a new iPad Air until at earliest, late 2025.

The M3 iPad Air and the 11th generation entry-level iPad will replace the M2 iPad Air and the 10th generation entry-level iPad coming in around 2025. The M4 iPad Air will be launching in 2026.

I just hope the Ipad Air M3 will have at least a 90hz display the 60hz display was what was holding me back from buying the M2 model, so I really hope they will give it a 90hz display since 120hz seems highly unlikely. (If it's still 60hz then I'll just opt for the M2 since IpadOS doesn’t really allow the M series chips to be used to its full capacity so there won't be any major differences in its performance. Or maybe if the price of the Ipad Pro M4 lowers a significant amount I'll get that)
