Rob, you have rekindled an interest in me taking out my iPad Pro to sketch as opposed to just me sketchbook. Brilliant!

I love to sketch just like this but when I moved and lived in HK it died because it’s just impossible to stop and sketch here, especially if one has daily office work- the dynamic and motion of life is in turbo mode. Everything is in fast motion.. Pausing for 10seconds here will put you in panic mode lol 😂. So I’m thunderstruck to see that there’s team of sketch artist here! Just wWwoww!!! Looking forward to join you in one Saturday session in the future.

Jawdropping! That kind of videos show the nice face of be alive. Thank you very much! I let you know I bought an Ipad to emulate you, I love your style of drawing! Thanks for sharing Mr. Sketcherman!

Thank you! I so hear you! Yes, I seldom feel as alive as when I’m walking the streets, then settling into a scene to sketch. I’m very touched that my iPad sketching has persuaded you to give it a go. Keep at it! Nothing brings progress like practice, and this is so fun to do.

Incredible work. I really hope you post a lot of videos. I work a lot on my iPad but not as an urban sketching tool, so watching your process is fascinating. Might try it out along my watercolors :)
@iPadSketcher5 жыл бұрын
I so appreciate that! Thank you. And sure - try something with watercolors. I’m often inspired by them too. The cross-pollination of ideas can be super fun to experiment with. Whatever you use, the point is to be happy and creating😁 (And yes, I plan to make many more videos!)

Please please please can you do a tutorial on Procreate as I am just starting out using my iPad 12.9 Pro ‘Jumbo’ for urban sketching but I’m really struggling crossing over from my sketch book pens and watercolours to my iPad. Grant, UK fan!

Hey Rob, love your sketch style and eagerly await more videos. Was wondering how many layers you would use in something like the last sketch (electrical store) and what they would be eg. Base layer, shadow layer etc. am trying to wrap my head around a faster and easier way to urban sketch, any tips would be very much appreciated. Please keep making and posting your art, it’s wonderful, thanks

Way cool! How do you make the sign stretch out like that? One moment it was taking up half the space, and then the next moment it was filling the space entirely!

It would be great if I bought my iPhone as a Sketchbook when I’m doing urban sketching :) Thanks for this video
@iPadSketcher5 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! And sure -start on your iPhone. I did for a while too. Procreate Pocket is pretty darned good.
@huntrrams5 жыл бұрын
I’m impressed with Pocket too. But I also use Autodesk Sketchbook as my go to app because it feels a bit like painting on Photoshop.
@iPadSketcher5 жыл бұрын
I started out with Autodesk Sketchbook years ago before I found Procreate (both on the iPad and iPhone), but felt that it took many steps to change and adjust tools. Procreate Pocket was like that too at the start, but has been significantly improved! Still, I carry my iPad everywhere I go, so don’t really draw on my phone anymore as I prefer the larger screen anyway.
