I can help with this. The wire used is 0.08mm thick cutting line. And the adhesive is more less call LOCA. Doing a search will help you with other questions about these useful items.

As long as the lcd is displaying a clear image the way it's supposed to and the touch is working. Than changing the glass isnt necessary. It's more of a "i dont want to look at cracked glass" haha. But for the general repair. The touch glass layer on top that had been shown in the video can be replaced for much cheaper than the entire display assembly. So long story short. If it is a bother than yes. Replace the glass. If it isnt a bother. Leave it alone. Lol.

The manual I got for my smaller one says it's a screen separator machine. I use the UYUE 948Q and has been a charm since first use. Saves so much time and risk of damaging the lcd/display.

i just managed to remove the digitizerthe way you did.. thanks for the help. what bothers me is to glue it back togetter after having spent hours removing that damn glue. isnt there an other way?... one that doesnt include glue? maybe with 3d printed parts? or at least just gluing the edges?

@@azmtkdzv thanks. i already got that tape by now (its already 4 month ago :) ) But still just dont like the idea of having an electronical device glued. kind of miss the old nokia phones that where easy to tkae apart and repair by removing a view screws... hope one day some company will do what is in the interest of the customers again.

It sometimes depends in the machine used. I use about 70c to 80c with mine. And I use 0.08mm thick cutting wire. So far no damaged lcd's

I had that problem a lot. On the edge it will creep back. I tried a syringe with additional loca and it slightly worked. But still no good. I’m thinking maybe small amount of double side tape with the black sponge about 1mm under those corners might work better.
