Just wanted to pass on a little info maybe you could use for future videos. 1:22 says 15Wh. "Wh" means"watt hours". That is how many watts you could pull for a straight hour. This is a number usually used for batteries. Like if say you were charging your phone off of a battery for one hour and the phone was puling 15 watts, the battery would be dead in 1 hour if it was a 15Wh battery. The passthrough power should say "15W", as it can pass 15 watts to the phone continuously. Thanks for the great video.

That would be something that Google might be able to help you with. As I am unable to point in any specific direction, I can at least tell you that you should be searching for "roms". There are many ways to extract them from the physical games you own yourself, or download copies of them online. How realistic is it to sit on a couch or plane and hold the iPad pro with those controllers? Is it too heavy and unbalanced or does it feel pretty good? Im considering switching from a legion go to an 11" Ipad pro and using moonlight and the new emulators
@GameTechTalkАй бұрын
Pretty realistic in my case as long as I have one point of anchor, for example an arm rest, or leaning in and shift the weight on my ribs. I can't quite explain it as it's just something that happens naturally out of comfort but as long as you are not asking me to stand still with my arms fully extended, I can clock hours with that system. I'd also say, for having the Legion Go myself, that the weight proportion of the iPad Pro M4 is a work of art, and I say this as someone with no particular appreciation for Apple beyond loving well designed hardware. This thing is an engineering marvel. When balanced on a telescopic controller, it's so perfectly proportioned that it feels considerably lighter than it actually is.

G8 or kishi ultra? For android and windows
@GameTechTalk7 ай бұрын
If money is no object, or maybe it isn't but you still prefer money-smart decisions, go G8. If your mindset is: "The best, no matter the cost", go Kishi Ultra. In other words, If G8 Galileo is 100%, Kishi Ultra is 110%. The extra you get with the Ultra does not warrant double the price that it almost always costs AND, they both lose features that the other one has so some differences are lateral more than vertical. How is the weight and weight distribution using the Gamesir controllers with such a large tablet? Comfortable to use for an extended period?
@GameTechTalk7 ай бұрын
So the regulars of my channel will probably pick it up from my buying habits, I like big. Big and bold is something I definitely embrace and for me, the Win Max 2 (if you're familiar) for example is very fine to play on. With that said, I've attached controllers on the Minisforum V3, on the Tab S8 Ultra and by far, the device on which it feels best in terms of weight distribution and the balancing act of playing extended periods with ANYTHING in the "heavy" handheld compartment, this setup wins easily. It is an engineering marvel this thing, the thinness and super well distributed weight through its body makes it feel way lighter than it actually is. So I'd say it is impressive how viable this solution is but in that same breath, I hope to illustrate just how much comfortable I am around these "heavier" solutions too.

I'd be lying if I said I understand MacOS's ram management well enough to answer that question. But from a logical point of view, even though 8gb seem very little in modern day's standards, as long as the ram management is handled accordingly by the OS, most games should be able to run in some capacity. Would having 16gb ram be better? Obviously. But well before being concerned by ram, having the emulator that can play such titles will be a much greater barrier of entry for a good while. At least I would think so. Cheers!

It's shockingly viable. If you worked with a Steam Deck, a ROG ALLY, it feels lighter than both despite being quite close in number. Will emulator use more than 8gb of ram ?
@GameTechTalk7 ай бұрын
The only emulator that we potentially might have a harder time with if/when it ever comes to the App store would be Switch and maybe PS2... Maybe some Wii U titles as well but not the majority? Anything else would be fine. Apple also employs very intricate ram management so I'd assume even the later systems to do fine with shader cache and whatnot. The challenge would most likely be more along the lines of finding the right developers to take advantage of Apple's ram management system but there are a lot of very intelligent people out there so time will tell. Edit: In other words, I don't know that paying the overcharged premium for 16gb is worth, based on the sheer amount of time it will most likely take for options that we don't have to become available on iPads. If you're buying an iPad thinking you could upgrade in 4-5 years, don't have concern over it. If you're buying thinking you'll have at least 10 years with this machine and would want to emulate Switch in the future... It's still a gamble but I could see the 16gb give you obvious advantages down the road. I hope this helps and sorry for wall-of-text!

@@GameTechTalk I’m still stuck haha, debating to upgrade my 2018 12.9 pro to either 1tb 11” or the base 13”. I do plan to keep it as long as I can. What are your thoughts on it?
@GameTechTalk7 ай бұрын
@@runeass @runeass I had that same internal battle. I ordered the 13 256gb and then I was like: "Ohh dang, should I have gone 1tb, should I have gone 11." I ended up rationalizing it and made my bro change his 1tb to 256gb and he's happy he did. The upcharge is just too significant. The extra core, space and ram are fun to have but let's be real, we'd be paying 50% upcharge on 1-5% use case scenarios? And when we really stop and wonder, it is obviously designed to rack in more profit, not offer flexibility. 20-25% uptick would've been: "Hey just make it how you feel", not 50%. So Apple making those changes is a willingful decision to induce FOMO. When coming to that conclusion, my choice was clear. Ultimately, as an editor, GPU was more important for me and that doesn't change so I stuck with 256gb and I bought this: geni.us/809Bzv (affiliated). This is such a game changer that 256gb is not even any semblance of a concern and with FCP2, I'll be able to edit off it so yeah. Best decision I made. As for 11 vs 13, I think it all comes down to "lifestyle" preferences. I like bigger screen and don't mind the extra weight but I did hesitate for about 37 secs if portability was more my jam, turns out it isn't. I hope this helps and again, sorry for wall-of-text #2! 🤣
