Also, 1st gen apple pencil dosent work with the ipad pro 2018 because the 1st gen charges by plugging it in the charging port of the ipad with a lightning connecter but the ipad pro has a usb c port so it can plug in, while the 2nd gen pencil can only work with 2018 pro because it has magnets on the side and charges through wireless connection.

btw the difference is the first gen pencil is connected bye the charging port and the sec gen is madnetic so you don't loose it.

Actually- the second generation is 100000000000x better, as it has magnetic features, lighter and it has other touch features. Anyway you can’t get the second generation since your getting that other iPad- OOP-

The difference between the Apple Pencil 1st gen and second gen is that the second gen magnetically connects and charges to the side of the newer iPads and the 1st gen you plug into the charging port to charge
