Mam as in section 107 it is mandatory for conspiracy that an overt act is done in furtherance of such conspiracy but in section 108 (explanation 2)it states that abeted should be committed or not it is not necessary so somewhere it contradicted.....it is so

Abetment by Conspiracy:- If X goes to Y and Z and tells them to procure poison to kill P. Here, X has directly engaged both of them in Conspiracy.

Aid is to help or to give assistance. In a case where a husband and wife were taken into custody and kept in separate rooms. The wife was raped by the head constable and the accused constable kept watch over the husband and did nothing hearing the shrieks of the victim wife. Conviction of the accused constable for abetting commission of rape was upheld (Ram Kumar vs State of H.p. 1995)
