Sec 378 - 382 of Indian penal code 1860 deals with the matter of theft. Where sec 378 of IPC define the defenation of theft .and make explains the necessary condition to committing this offence with an illustration .and sec 379 of IPC define the punishment of theft which may extend 3 years or fine or both.
