I never understood why Apple makes their phones so hard to repair. On my old Sony Ericsson W610i when i cracked the LCD by accidentaly dropping it from the 6th floor's apartment balcony i needed about 20 minutes to replace it and to do that i had to take apart the whole phone

For anyone trying to do it with the logic board in because you are more concerned about speed, I wouldn't heat the back glass of a phone in one area too long especially the logic board side. I had one-time burn the logic boar causing a black camera screen for 1x zoom. Had to get my friend to redo the logic board.

@Random Tools Those rings should be installed from out side only ! .. u cant fit the new glass above the old rings ! Plus : he had to grind the new rings because they are after market and they don't fit 100% .

But only because I obtained it through some help for helping a former friend with something, he offered to just buy me a phone. So. I got the best one they had at the time. Got AppleCare +. Now my back glass is broken and I still have to pay them 99 bux to fix it. We not only need right to repair legislation; but we need companies to start integrating function equal or OVER form and looks. Hell, give me a iPhone 13 that’s way thicker but has a removable all day battery, mini LED or 120+hz display, and standard 256 or 512 storage, usbC, shockproof design, 7” Thur no bezel display! And maybe a projector in it too!) and I’d eat that up. But a iPhone 13 that has some slightly improved camera and 5G and that’s it, for like $3000.....yeah ...I’ll pass on that one
