They let the camera focus automatically without tapping anywhere. Most tests do this to keep everything equal and show wish phones camera is the best with no adjustments

I bought the Iphone 11 pro but I can't fully agree with the conclusion of your review. The 11 pro has pretty terrible greenish lense flare in nightmode when there are are bright lights. I wish it had the same lowlight performance as the Huawei with nightmode turned off. And I'm not even mentioning the price here... The price of the Huawei allows you to upgrade much sooner, and that is worth something, because a few years from now, things have probably improved even further. I had some very specific reasons for still wanting the 11 pro, but I find it difficult to recommend without some sidenotes.

Not trying to come across as defending Huawei, but I don't understand how so many KZbinrs parrots "true to life" colors on the iPhone. Regardless if you like the photos from the iPhone or not, you can't deny the iPhone has its own biases in white balances. iPhone photos have that trademark warm look, even on pale skinned individuals. As for which photos are better? Apple has wider dynamic range, better with video and is very consistent, but Huawei will have the edge in challenging situations such as low light, long range zoom, has a pro mode. Neither is outright better than the other.

Iphone is so much closer to real life, it seems warm because it is warm. I have both pixel 3 XL and iPhone 11 pro max, although the pixel 3 seems nicer with the cooler tone, but iphone is the truer to life color, day light or lowlight. That being said, the only 2 smartphones having the best color science are iPhone and pixel, but Samsung & Huawei are far from reality. The iPhone used to have issues with the skin tone, but its been fixed with the iphone 11 line.

Many of those P30 issues can be solved if you spend time learning to use it well. Did you use the HDR setting for the photo with overblown highlights? Doesn't look like it. It's best to avoid the AI setting and use pro mode generally for great results.

Taking a picture is want to capture a “perfect” moment that is presentable. That’s why new technologies, skills, equipments and etc created/ invented to help to achieve this goal. If the camera only able to capture the real and natural photos, no girl want to take selfie anymore; all the camera accessories/ equipment can’t sell anymore; a night time photos need you to elaborate how beautiful the dark night scenery and etc. Not all the guys have the skills to take a good photo that’s why need a camera with better features to help them to take a nice photo.

Nah this review is not biased at all.i sold my p30 pro because of these issues.i lost the zoom and the super night mode but i gained a lot in image quality and colour consistency across all the lens and also video quality with samsung s10 is steps ahead than the p30 pro on stabilization,focussing and colour accuracy depts.

I’ve had the P30 Pro before and now have the iPhone 11. There are some functions that I miss but I must say that I like the colors in the photos much more on the iPhone. What I miss is the macro mode, clearly. I feel like the ultra wide angle on the P30 Pro focused on nearby things if you pointed it directly to them whereas the iPhone seems to have a fixed focus. That isn’t as good. The zoom, obviously, is something I’d miss at times. Oh and the camera app itself with all those settings and nifty effects such as silky water and other long exposure features. I do have to say, though, that I did not like the sudden change in white balance and color accuracy when zooming in on the P30 Pro (caused by switching the cameras). The iPhone does a much better job switching between cameras. Oh and one thing I thought the Huawei really wasn’t good at were bright red hues you’d normally see on flowers such as roses. There was a loss of detail, especially when comparing it to the iPhone. I do not regret switching, all in all I’m happier with this phone, even though as I said I do miss some things and the P30 Pro was actually quite a good device that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a good Android phone. And it became so inexpensive, too. Good deal if you want features like a periscopic zoom camera but don’t feel like spending as much as you’d have to for a Samsung S20 Ultra.

Hi, which one is better on battery? P30 pro or iPhone 11? I do some research and my conclusion p30 pro does better in term of battery life. Is it way more better or just close?

Ludovico Cossignani it really depends what you want in a device. There are many things it does better, but the camera on the P30 Pro is more versatile. It is better for macro, better for zoom. The iPhone is far superior in HDR photos, especially videos. I tend to like iOS better atm but that is personal preference. Especially now with iOS 14 coming up.

@@opinionatedoliver3680 thank you for the answer ! The only smartphone that kept me away from changing every 3 months was an iPhone (8 Plus, with whom I stayed 2 years and a half)... Regarding iOS I really appreciate the software support guaranteed for many years... I'm really torn ahahaha

Ludovico Cossignani one of the main reasons for switching back to iOS was that I finally wanted an Apple Watch. Was a good decision because I’m very happy with both devices. Had several other smartwatches but none of them come close to the Apple Watch.
