I wasn't surprised because I use android and iphone and my s10e always had better and faster signal than my iphone 11. Ios users don't realize it till next year. I always complained about my iphone signal. Now that they upgraded to qualcomm radios like android oems they feel a massive improvement. This year I'm noticing s20 fe 120 hz is so much smoother than my iphone 12 but ios users wont realize it till next year and say wow what an improvement apple is so innovating. Not realizing last years deficiency.

5G is overhyped nonsense for 95% of all people. LTE coverage is better, it drains far less battery and the speeds are still great enough for everything. Unless you up/download crazy-huge files everyday, I wouldn't even bother about 5G / switch it off.

Good job for creating this video. It's extremely useful, and nobody is taking about this. I live in Romania, where 4G reception isn't so good outside the city and this video convinced me to choose iphone 12 instead of a 11 pro. Having better reception is a must. Another aspect nobody is taking about is the fact that the iPhone 11 Pro is heavier than the 12, with a weaker front glass. This means higher chance of breaking the glass in case of a drop. Yes, the 11 Pro has a better battery, but so you really need it? I have a daily screen time of 4 hours on average. I don't see the point in having a bigger battery so that before I go to sleep I have +30% battery left. I would only go with the 11 Pro of I would have small hands, because the rounded edges makes it easier to hold, and it's smaller. This is just my opinion

well i can get 200mbps down with 4g all day long bc we dont have 5g and i use cat 16 modem in my huawei P20 (at band 3 and 20 and sometimes B1) but with ZTE MC801A router (with CAT22 +5G) we still dont have 5g but we get around 250-300mbps down and around 120mbps upload

It seems coverage network in USA is not so good, in Belgium I’ve on an iPhone 11 Pro connected to LTE Orange network 100Mbps+ in download and 40mbps+ in upload. I don’t have any feels to upgrade this year my iPhone personally 👍🏻

I'm quite curious to know if these same results can be expected from iPhones sold in Europe. Apple says that the only difference is the mmWave, but, besides that, in regular sub-6 4G/5G, we should technically see the same improvements in cell reception and data speeds found on US models. Can anybody confirm that? Maybe the modem is the same, but the antenna or its layout is different.

Hey just wanted to say that I just got the HDR option on the youtube app with my iPad Pro, I’ve had 4K60fps for a while and HDR just popped up. *Now when playing HDR in full brightness on the youtube app the brightness goes down half way on the video, but if you drag down the notification tab a little bit. The brightness goes back up to the 600nits, downside is that playing 4K60fps HDR videos with that notification trick sometimes messes with the true 60 fps* [[Very finicky because a true HDR requires 1,000 or more and it’s Just Released I’ve done a 4K60fps regular vs 4K 60fps HDR comparison on my own and their is big difference, not the most gigantic difference but colors do pop

My iPhone 11 pro Max has been frustrating because signal is sh** and everyone else with Samsungs on the same network have perfectly fine speeds. At work, signal shows 3 bars and it will not load anything. It's literally unusable. I'm going to upgrade ASAP to the iPhone 12 thanks to this video. There needs to be more videos testing the actual signal strength and the real world performance, especially with new chips. Thank God Apple switched back to Qualcomm.

In Chicago if you have T-Mobile your data and download speeds are so slow like a snail and if you have AT&T or cricket wireless your data and download speeds are 100 percent fast and you’ll download anything is like 5 seconds or like 5 minutes it’s that quick. T-Mobile absolutely sucks in Chicago

In Calgary on iPhone 12 Pro vs iPhone 11 Pro same networks I get 600Mbps on Wifi (vs 60Mbps on the older phone). On 5G and 4G LTE I'm getting 300+Mbps (vs 16Mbps on the iPhone 11 Pro as reported on Speed Test app.)(Bell and Telus were faster than Rogers most of the time). (I was impressed that wifi was so much faster also).

You need to note that you’re on T-Mobile. On my iPhone 11 Pro Max in Southern California, surrounding mountains, and out in Las Vegas I regularly test over 150Mbps down. Faster than T-Mobile’s 5G and often in areas where T-Mobile has no coverage. During normal times I often travel to the island of Hawaii and even regularly test over 100Mbps out in Volcano National Park where T-Mobile has no coverage.

This may not be a real comparison between 4G LTE and 5G NR. The same phone company may have taken out radio resources from 4G LTE system to 5G, with the intention of painting 5G being much better than 4G so people would pay to switch. Also there are less 5G users than 4G users now causing less mutual interference in 5G. As more users switch to 5G, your experience may change.

This aspect of the phone ( Radio reception ) is rarely tested or discussed by most youtubers reviewing phones and yet this is most important if a phone is to function as a phone. Please assess the reception if you review a phone and if necessary compare it to other brands. Samsung phones have good antennas compared to iPhones using Intel Modems
