Yeah I agree. If you use your phone as your primary device no laptop or tablet then a bigger phone makes sense. But if you are home using your laptop or iPad then makes sense to have a smaller phone

I love the idea of being able to use my phone with one hand when walking etc and fitting nicely into my pocket. I also have an Apple Watch. Only thing that really puts me off is the battery on the mini 😬

I love my Mini! Now, I was a Note user way before big phones were cool, and I stuck with that line over the years (and I was an Android person, obvs). However, I did switch to the 5.8” s10e because I wanted a “smaller” phone. But when I heard about this baby back in early 2020, I knew I had to have it. And wow. Even after seven months of daydreaming about it, it still lived up to my expectations. It’s a shame about the sales though :(. I guess we won’t be seeing a 13 mini and beyond.

I switched from the 8 plus and I love my 12 mini. Coming from such a huge phone and going down to such a small form factor while keeping most of all of the great features of the normal 12 is so refreshing. I think the best part is being able to easily put it in my pocket when I’m on the go and that Apple did not cut any corners with this phone.

I bought the 12 mini a few weeks ago and still have my 11 pro but I may never go back to the 11 pro. This 12 mini is awesome size and helps me get back to what I need a phone for to begin with. I am not a heavy user and I can get 2 days easy out of a charge. I highly recommend the 12 mini if you want to get back to a simple life and not staring at a screen so much.

I was so torn. The natural inclination is bigger is better, or that you are missing out by getting the Mini. But, honestly “it just works”. I was so tempted to return the Mini for the 12 pro. But in everyday use, the mini is so much more usable. It is lighter, smaller, fits in your pocket, and is best for one hand use. I kept using my sisters 12 pro to test drive it, and that little bit of heft, however slight, became noticeable on my pinky as I was propping it up on the bottom. And yes, the battery life is shorter. But it will get you through a full day of work and still have some juice on it before you will plug it in to a charger anyway. I came from an iPhone 7 so this just feels right to me. Your method may vary, but don’t knock it until you try it.

Although it’s cool, Face ID is more secure and much faster. I just came from the 6S to my 11 pro. This year they possibly might bring the hidden thumb print reader behind the screen, but Apple will no longer be having home buttons anymore

The mini is perfect for what is presented. For those who only need audio streaming for the day, phone calls, texting/email, Facebook and light videos streaming. This is a great device. The form factor is meant for people who don’t use their phone all day. More as a tool for the day. It’s great. I finished the day with 56% battery at 100% battery capacity on the 12 mini as opposed to 25-30% on my iPhone 8 with 89% battery capacity. So if you love the iPhone 8 or other 4.7” screens you will like this phone. If you want more than what those offer get the iPhone 12 for the lager battery and screen size. I do not regret getting the mini.

6 hours screen on time for moderate users is respectable for the battery capacity on this phone. My current midrange smartphone barely makes it to 6 hours screen on time while having 4,000mah. Heck I most times get 4hours+ on most days without shooting high quality videos and images or playing games all the time. The problem though is that iPhones are extremely pricey where I am so it's not something I'd buy right now except I visit US or UK

12 mini is, without any doubt, the best decision apple has done in quite few years. I’m coming from a 6.4” monstrosity, I really loved all about it except size, and never imagined to ever buy an iPhone...also, a quick note, 5.4” is not small, by any means, just not so gigantic as all manufacturers has been doing this years, small is 4-4.5”, 4.6-5.5” I think is the sweet spot.

This phone is insane… I’m using it right now. For decent use, it’s great. Even with big hands it’s good. I have a MAC to watch my vids and main use, so it’s perfect. Great for watching and playing Minecraft.

I love it, it responses so well . It feels faster than my old s9+. What I love the most is that it is so so lite, weighs almost nothing. Speakers are loud but no aux input. Screen is super clear, can’t say enough about it I just love it!

Love this phone! Went from an 11 pro to the mini 128gb. Everyone I see discussing this phone hates on the price. The iPhone 8 was 699 at release and this is the same however much much better overall in every way. So anyone hating the price think about that first.

Been 3 weeks since i use em, For gamers Playing wild rift is kinda battery consuming, 3 hours of playing to be exact from 85 to about 20% thats the time i charged my phone For casuals The rest i use it for whatsapps, facebook, youtube instagram, video and pics, i rarely activate locations, It hangs around from 100 to 40 something on my daily usage

Got mine and I love it! It’s almost the same screen size as my Samsung S8(I lost my iPhone 6plus and went android) am so glad to be back with Apple and it’s a great phone and size. Edit. I’m watching this on my iPhone mini 😉 and I have no issue with the battery life. I’m definitely very tempted to get the 12Mini coming from my iPhone 8Plus, As it’s got a better screen, more powerful & even though the battery isn’t as strong the way I look at it is that I’m at home 70% of the time so I’m always around a charger..... And if I could make an iPhone 5s and iPhone 4s work to have the battery last me till I was home then that’s good enough for me, But in saying all that maybe with this new design the iPhone 12Pro(6.1inch) it maybe feel smaller in the hand compared to my iPhone 8Plus even though the 12Pro does have a slightly bigger screen..... What would you JSL??....Be interested to get your opinion.....Cheers!

Also i only use Social network apps as everyone else does and never play video games on my phone i never went over 4 hours SoT for a day. My self refurbished iPhone 6S even keeps up with my day to day usage.

I love the Mini and it does NOT have anything against it... except the thing I value the most. Context: I have the 12 Pro Max 256 GB and my previous go-to phone, 11 Pro 256 GB. But (despite my very strong inclination to "small is beautiful") I had to return to the 11 Pro. I tried to use the Mini as my main - but the battery let me down: all other aspects (including photography) were 100% satisfactory. BUT screen-on- time of a max. 4 hours was the thing that annoyed me the most. I ditched my beloved SE 2020 because of that (and I still love it) but it's unusable. So, no need to by a 12 Pro, the 11 Pro, only very slightly bigger than the Mini does the job flawlessly. Forget about 5G, I'm in a Country where even 4G is a scam, who needs 5G. For that I have the 12 Pro Max (which stays back in the shadows, only popping up dor special photographic needs and multimedia consumption). So, my 11 Pro + 12 Pro Max is the winning combination for me (11 Pro being always the main).

What is with the aspect ratio on this video? It’s weirdly shorter than 16:9. Frankly even 16:9 seems dated. Any chance if adopting 18:9 since most people watch these videos on phones anyway?

Beautiful phone.Good secondary phone. Also fine if you switch phones often. Over the years, battery reduces in efficiency, making it lesser than already is. If this lasts 70% of the day, a year later 65% of the day.

Just had mine 2 weeks ago (my country suckd ass, apple only released it mid dec), its amazing, no regrets at all. Of course I’m buying in knowing there are battery limitations (duh obviously, its a small phone), but after coming back from years of samsung phones, and going back to iOS from my previous 5S, all I can say is this size is suuuuper perfect. One handable, gestures are really on point. The only thing I’d trade this phone in the future is prolly with another mini with increased battery capacity, or when apple had finally figure out underscreen camera and removes the notch but keeps the face id functionality (coming from android this shit is just so seamless) Also everytime I opened my Galaxy S10 it felt so big, like holding a tablet, phones are really big nowadays, glad Apple re ignite the small compact flagship market.

To small. 6.1 inch is the perfect size. You can still use it with one hand. All these other guys must have tiny hands. 😂

I’m trying to decide between this and the oneplus 8T. I have an iPhone 11 right now and can trade it in for a new iPhone 12 mini on Tmobile. But I can get a free oneplus 8T just by signing up for Tmobile. So the question is, should I stick with iPhone and get a new one by trading in my 11? Or should I take the free oneplus 8T and then sell my iPhone 11 for about $500?

The screen is about the same size as an Iphone8 plus (5.4" instead of 5.5")but smaller format because of the edge to edge screen.
