@@automata157 Yeah, because the Xperia 5 III is vaporware at this point. It got announced, but it only got released in like... 3 countries? Because of that, you can either have a mini iPhone or an Asus Zenfone 8. I'd personally replace my S10e with the 13 mini because it's even smaller than the Zenfone. Plus, I'm interested in trying out something new with iOS.

@@VS-yk3gu Yes, 5.9" is better for a pratical use. You have 120hz, P2 with dedicated dac and suport to LDAC/AptX though bluetooth and more battery life. 13 Mini won in the cameras and processor/soc, but because of it's size, it can overheat and have bad battery life than the zenfone. (Note the SOC size and main board are the same for ALL models. So, bigger the screen is, more space you have to put a bigger battery.)

Thank you for this video! I have been trying to decide between these two (used) for a compact phone. Agree with your assessment of Zenfone better for gaming and video/content consumption. If you don't do a lot of gaming/video watching, the iPhone may be a better choice just because of size and easier one-hand use (but I still don't like the notch). I think the Zenfone is the better all-arounder compact phone. I might have to get both to test drive and just sell the one I don't like!

I always have to laugh when people zoom in on youtube, cropping about 30% of the video, just to complain about how the notch now obscures the video. Dude, on my Zenfone 7 pro I can't zoom in on KZbin either, but not because of any noches, no, it's because the screen aspect ratio is so awkwardly long that you basically loose half of most videos when you try to fill your screen. Just saying... Thanks for the video!

@@vyacheslavspitsin303 Basically you can unlock the phone's booloader (a phone's version of the BIOS/UEFI) and get custom-made OSes onto your Android phone, either based on Android or Linux. But currently speaking, the custom ROM support for the Zenfone 8 is not that great. It has only one or two ROMs tailor-made to this phone and there are only a couple of Android 12 GSIs (generic system images; basically device-agnostic custom ROMs that run on every phone ever) available on XDA. So yeah, I'd rather have either a better custom ROM community or better stock OS support attached to the phone I own, so I'd choose the 13 mini.

Get the iPhone because they’re far more consistent with updates. The best android phones update wise are pixels and Samsung (mid range and high end) which will get 3 years at best. If you care more about updates iPhones are better because they get 5 years of updates on average

I love the Zenfone 8 but the Face Unlock is crap and not safe as on the iPhone because its only 2D and you can unlock with a Mask on. I wish more Android Phones come with a 3D Unlock.
