iPhone 12 PRO MAX Boot loop error 4013 FIXED!!

Let's take a look at how to repair boot loop and error 4013. Very common issue on iphones X to 12.
How to enter to iphone recovery mode:
Quick-press the Volume Up button.
Quick-press the Volume Down button.
Long-press and hold the Side button until you see the Recovery mode screen.
Apple devices is a free software that you can download from e.g. windows store
How to leave recovery mode:
Connect your device to your computer using the cable that came with your device. Don't disconnect your device from your computer.
Press and quickly release the volume up button. Press and quickly release the volume down button. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
It is important that you leave recovery mode before you start your repairs.
Diagnosing proximity sensor issue. Just remove the flex cable and try to start the phone if it starts the issue is in that module.

Will try to change this . My phone has the same issue . Just ordered parts . Will change new LCD , proxity sensor and new battery .

So do i need to replace the proximity sensor, or can i just remove it?

You need to change it since it has the ear speaker in the same module. But interesting point. Since the short is caused by the sensor maybe if you just de-solder the sensor chip it may work. Or it has some of the speaker functionality also tied in to it. I do not know. If you decide to test this please let me know.

Yes, the phone will boot up with out the proximity sensor. This the easy way to troubleshoot this. But remember to take your phone out of the recovery mode before doing this. Otherwise you will not know if it boots up.

you give me a hope with my iPhone 12 mini but I'm not able to do that. At the Apple Store they told me it's not fixable. In a private shop I got the same answer. I'm shocked, they 100% know that "repair" is working, but they don't want to do it. If I lose the Face ID it's not a big deal...

Sad to hear that you cannot get anybody to fix it. If you cannot get anybody to do that then you have nothing to lose if you try it your self. They are a bit hard to open but with the basic tools it is possible. If you have some old phones you can first practice with them.

are you out of the recovery mode. If you still see your itunes symbol or the symbol for the cable your are not. I you get the apple logo and boot loop you may have a different issue. What was the error code you got from the apple devices program?

@@modernfix1 i get the error 4013. I tried to recover the phone using itunes that is when i got stuck at recovery state. After i removed my proximity censor it still gives the error when i try to restore phone.

@@modernfix1 After i exit recovery mode it worked then the phone went off again. I then tried to update and i got stuck at 'Attempting recovery mode' The phone goes off and on again.

@@akejeludavidojoshimite646 And you did not plug the sensor back. Then their something else wrong with the phone. Maybe bad battery, or some other component.

If you do not use apple parts, change the chip or you can even re-write the chip, you will loose face id.
