iPhone 11's, are what you get when Apple actually listens to their customers demands. iPhone 12 is where the "Apple Knows best" attitude starts to show again. You'd think they'd learn that after the massive sales on the iPhone 11.

They did, I think that because of the design, keeping the thickness at what it was before would make the phone way too chunky. The 12 Pro Max already feels a LOT thicker than the 11 Pro Max just because of the flat design, and it's actually thinner by 0.7mm. If it was the same 8.1mm, it would feel enormous.

Tbh its just the flat sided design that lessened the battery size like if the phone was as thick as the 11 pro max then it would look chunky af because of the flat sides but to me the 12 Pro max still has amazing battery life so i have no worries if I ever got that phone😂also if 12 pro max had the same design as last year with the same battery size then it would have battery life exceeding 8 hours 30 mark for sure.

We can all agree that all the battery on all these phones are amazing. I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max and I haven’t charged my iPhone since yesterday afternoon. And I’m typing this almost a whole 24 hours since I charged the phone and I have about 36% battery. Like that too me is amazing battery life and a huge upgrade from my iPhone 11. You can see from the 3Dmark scores in the iphone 12 pro max is doing worst than iphone 11 pro max after running the test multiple times (because iphone 12 is thermal throttling VERY BAD--> when it is throttling its scores is even worst than android phones) and literally NO big youtubers are pointing out except for techtablets. I watched techtablets video, thinking that this thermal throttling issue will only be present in the cheaper iphone 12 models(non pro max), but it seems like ALL IPHONE 12 models have this issue. Very disappointing from Apples part, and also all the big reviewers for not pointing out this issue (the probable reason why they dont point out this issue is because apple will not give them sample units before launch date... and hence wont get to publish their review on the same day as launch --> late reviews+ less money.)

The display is just drop dead gorgeous, with a camera that completes with the pixel or may even be better than that... And now a battery that will probably left you 2 days... It’s not the best. That’s your personal opinion. The note 20 ultra is an amazing phone but people have a preference and in some areas it may pull them to Pixel, or to OnePlus or to Apple, etc. The note 20 ultra also costs a pricey $1400 compared to the other phones in the test which were around $1000 or below. You always have to take price into account because that is usually the main selling point of a phone.

Regarding Apple devices, I have been an Apple user for many years, and I can state that battery life is entirely dependent on the software. I can run the same programs and get wildly different battery life depending on the software updates, even when the apps update it can change for good or bad and significantly too.

Listen. That iOS version was brand new so it wasn’t optimized for the 12 pro max. My dads 12PM lasts the whole day and his phone is constantly ringing, he’s constantly on maps, he has a background app running the whole damn time and he has to use his camera a lot.
