Sure, it brings your subject 4x closer than the ultrawide lens, but it is highly unusual to consider the ultrawide lens the 1x default. The 5g versions are slightly different than the 4g ones, but honesty you should not but the 5g versions. If you have the extra money get the a71. It is way better than the a51
