Great video. I still have the 6s Plus from 2015, and she’s still going strong, but the battery life is pretty consistent with what you shared in the video. It’s only annoying when I’m somewhere where I don’t have access to charge my phone and or portable charger. All in all, I won’t be upgrading anytime soon unless it just clonks out on me. Thanks.

the 6s won't get the ios 16 update, but it indeed will get security patches for 15 and lower versions of ios. i doubt any of new features will be essential for 6s to continue working, even the majority of apps in appstore still supports ios 12.4 (iphone 5s & 6)

I know that it’s really expensive and not everyone can afford it but if u can save up for it, it’ll probably be the best investment. I’ve been using it for 3 months and this phone never dies and I get an average of 8 to 9 hours screen on time daily and i still have 20% when i decide to go sleep and charge it. If you want to use a phone for that many years the smartest decision will be to get the latest one.

I used to have a old iPhone 7 Plus and now recently I’ve upgraded to a iPhone 13. I was used to having to charge my phone as quickly as I came home so it wouldn’t immediately die so when I got this new phone I was mind blown. I could easily have around 40-50 percent left in the evening after a full day of medium heavy usage. Extremely satisfied!

What’s crazy is my 11 pro is about the only other iphone that can match up with the 13’s and of course the 11 pro max. The 12’s and 12 pro/max for some reason just weren’t any better and in most videos they die before the 11 pro/max, and it’s probably because it’s the first generation of 5g iPhones plus the battery wasn’t enough of an upgrade for the Oled display to handle better than the liquid IPS display which drains less power. I will definitely say though the iphone 11’s get hot and that’s one issue they all have worse than most the rest. Especially the regular 11 which I’ve also had. I keep my 11 pro because it’s the last iphone they made at 5.8 inches which is perfect size for my hand and thumb to reach top to bottom without having to move it around or stretch my fingers and crap to reach top to bottom on the 6.1 inch ones or bigger. Yes, I’m lazy af.

idk how your 6s is getting so much life man.... i recently got a new battery from apple and its showing 100% health the phone loses a lot of % on standby , and i barely get 2-2.5 hr use before i run out. seems like some issue with my device because i left the phone switched off for 3 weeks and i lost like 3% charge. the battery seems fine, something in the phone is draining it. no sim, just wifi on. i read online this phone has a wifi issue, maybe that is the case........ EDIT: I CAN NOW CONFIRM, the wifi modem in the phone is the issue as i expected and other alluded to. i turned it off completely and i am getting so much more battery life.

@@nignigolas8580 nope. lowest brightness, low power mode, dont use it during charging AT ALL ( i always charge my devices when they get below 10% whenever i can. maximizing battery life), no background tabs (habit of closing them that stuck with me since the good ol' 1GB ram android phones). i also turned of background processes, all notifications except system apps and its in constant airplane mode with wifi on. in extra settings, transparency and animations are turned off to further improve performance. AFTER ALL THAT, it still loses 1% per minute on insta,reddit and any app i use. this phone is EOL for sure.

I have the iphone 13 and the battery is quite good, I put it on charge during the night, in the morning I take it off and then at the end of the day the battery of course depends on how much I used the phone, but sometimes it has 40% left If I didn’t use it too much! Better than I expected, but the worse thing I noticed is that the phone has some bugs, but it is of course a great phone. I think that the price is a bit too high for the phone quality, but I like it. I’m sorry it I did some spelling mistakes, but I’m Italian and the phone corrects the words because I have the italian language on the settings.

@@hustlawg that’s good, you’re minority then :). Have you updated to iOS 15, 16? Loads of feedback globally that the natural upgrades that Apple launches degrades battery performance. Also, there’s enough evidence in news articles and by Apple admitting themselves that they do things to degrade battery performance for which they even paid a fine in EU, it’s public knowledge. Otherwise, from a business perspective, why will they let people use a phone for 5-6 years since these phones are good enough to run for so long. They need repeat purchases so they have to have a process like this exist to keep up with the revenue.

The key problem of all these battery drain tests is that they don't take real life conditions into consideration. In real life you will most likely use cellular network for the most part of the day. And while iphone 12 can show better SOT results than iphone 11 on wifi, it will show the worst result on cellular (and I am not even talking about 5g). I guess the main issue with the battery drain of iphone 12 is qualcomm x55. It's just too power-hungry for tiny iphone batteries and looks like iphone 12 was too early for 5g modem, they should've waited for x60.
