This year Apple have released the new iPhone 13 and have also reduced the price of the iPhone 11, which now starts at $499. My aim with this video is to compare the iPhone 11 and iPhone 13 in terms of price, design, display, camera, battery and performance. To help you decide whether to upgrade to the iPhone 13 from the iPhone 11. Or to see whether it is worth upgrading to the now more affordable iPhone 11 from an older model such as the iPhone 7, iPhone 8 or iPhone X. Options: iPhone 13 128gb, 256gb, 512gb. iPhone 11 64gb, 128gb. iPhone 11 has a classic design with rounded corners. The iPhone 13 has more squared off design. The sharper edges may not be as smooth to hold as the rounded design, the phone is smaller, so easier to grip and reach around the display. The iPhone 11 has a 6.1” liquid retina (LCD) display. Bright enough, colours are decently vibrant and text is easy to read. The iPhone 13 has a 6.1” Super Retina XDR (OLED) display. The display uses OLED, getting far better contras. Colours are vibrant and really pop. OLED display also allows for the bezels around the screen to be smaller. The notch too is smaller on the iPhone 13. Both 11 and 13 have dual 12mp cameras. 11 has wide F1.8 and ultra wide F2.4. 13 has a wide F1.6 and ultra wide F2.4. Larger aperture on the 13’s wide lens will let in more light. Additionally the 13 brings new camera features. Including photographic styles and cinematic mode. You will not find these features on the 11. I have done side-by-side comparisons between the 11 and 13. Photos from the iPhone 13 look more natural in terms of colour reproduction and white balance. The ultra wide lens is sharper on the iPhone 13. Looking at this closeup photo you can see the wider aperture on the 13 showing more of that shallow DOF effect. In Low light the 13 keeps colours more natural and photos have slightly less grain. Both 11 and 13 have a 12mp F2.2 camera on the front, The main visual here is that the 13 has more dynamic range. Lets talk about battery, both deliver in this area. iPhone 11 17hr of video playback can get around 5-7 hrs of screen on time. Above average. iPhone 13 19hr of video playback get around 6-8.5 hrs of screen on time. Well above average. Under normal use both 11 and 13 should last the whole day. Both can do fast as well as wireless charging, though you will only find MagSafe on the 13. iPhone 11 has the A13 Bionic chip, iPhone 13 has the new A15 Bionic chip. In day to day productivity, messages, mail, switching between apps, watching videos, tasks they are snappy, fast and perform similarly. Where the difference in performance will start to show is in the longer term as the phones age. The iPhone 13 with its A15 bionic chip will receive software updates and support for longer. I would expect another 5-6 or so years, 2-3 years more compared to the 11. The iPhone 13 brings great new features and design and if you want the latest and greatest the iPhone 13 will not disappoint. But if you have the 11 it is not a necessary upgrade. Unless you want an OLED display and cornered off design, my advice would be to wait another year or so and get the iPhone 14. Now that the iPhone 11 is more affordable. You are getting a lot of iPhone for the money, making it a good value option. I would consider the iPhone 11 to be the sweet spot between an iPhone that will last for some time and one that has a more affordable price.

Phone 11 is a really good phone, even in 2022, but I end up buying the iPhone 13 because it was 110 euros cheaper from the original price (nice discount in my opinion), and I sold my used iPhone 11 for 390 euros, they both amazing and powerful but my problem was the LCD display, there's a HUGE difference between LCD and OLED, the iPhone 13 screen resolution is so much better, 4k option and HDR on youtube, the colors and brightness, but besides that there are not many differences.

I prefer the iPhone 13 because it's a 5g network technology - enabled phone whereas the iPhone 11 isn't. Fast and high-speed internet connectivity is really important. I think the increment in price won't really hurt much if the phone features are really worth the money spent. 🙂

Hi, in itself it should not make much difference, but it is known that a very small percentage of people can be bothered by the flickering of the OLED screen. So if you are not already aware of this issue in your case, I would not stay away from OLED

4:18 nothing common between size of bezels and IPS/oled technology. LG G2 and lot of other ips phones had smaller bezels even compared to 13's oled. So no relation there.

The iPhone 11 and iPhone 13 have different display technology. The iPhone 11 standard which is using and LCD display with 625nits of max brightness. Where as the iPhone 13 standard is using and OLED display with 800nits of brightness. So on paper the standard 13 has a higher resolution than the 11 but to most people they can’t see the reason to spend more on that even if they know what OLED looks like. The 11 does not have a bad display it just isn’t as good. So if having a really high screen quality matters to you which it doesn’t to most people then I would recommend if you can spend around 300 dollars more to get the 13 over the 11. But if having one of the best displays in the market does not matter to you I would totally go with the 11 as it’s pretty much the same thing as the 13 in all other categories.
