I jumped from 7 plus to the 13. super impressed in terms of battery, camera is flawless especially at night and so is the selfie camera, love having lots of storage too. the screen is bigger, brighter. the only issue is the zoom. my 7plus had a great telephoto camera, but hey i’ve the ultra wide to compensate for it.

I’m impressed with the screen fluidity, battery life and the cameras. The macro camera works much better than I anticipated. For me the little extra thickness makes it easier to hold and it seems they rounded off the edges just a little so it doesn’t dig into your hand as much. It also doesn’t get scalding hot every time I use safari. I’m happier with this upgrade than the 12 or 11. (Yes I upgrade every year).

That 10Hz save a tons of battery life, when you don't need to waste the energy to refresh the screen 120 times per sec.

A lot of these reviews say that for a difference of only $100, it makes no sense to buy the older phone. But is that how most people buy their phones in the US - paying the full cost upfront? Here in Canada, even setting aside the exchange rate, most people buy their phone on plan from a carrier, and with discounts and subsidies, the difference between a brand new 13 and last year's 12 is way more than $100. It could actually be as much as $400 depending on how you pay for it.

I only got the 13 over the 12 cos I wanted the extra battery life, and my 12 started to be 1,5 years old so the battery was at 88% capacity. I upgraded to the 13 before the 14 came out because the trade in value for the 12 is higher before the 14 comes out, so based on iphone 11 prices I actually saved money not waiting for the 14 before buying the 13.

As someone with a 2y old Xiaomi Note8pro who would like to try iOS.. Is it worth buying a 13pro (and possibly exchanging that for 14 if it will be a decent upgrade)?

Little late here, assuming you got the 13 pro, I would definitely wait til at least the 15 to upgrade, apple products especially their phones and tablets generally last a very long time, upgrading every year just isn’t worth it

Nice review. It makes sense that if someone is looking to buy a new iPhone, getting the iPhone 13 makes a lot more sense than the 12. Just by virtue of the increase in battery capacity and life is good enough an upgrade. The better camera just makes the extra you fork out more worth it. Performance wise, I can't really say it will benefit most of its users since not everyone is going to play some cutting edge games, or run some intensive software to realise the potential of the A15. As to upgrade from 12 to 13, I think it is generally not worth making an annual upgrade. While there are quality of life improvements with each new iteration, they are not a must have and normally not big enough to make the upgrade worthwhile. It probably makes more sense for those on iPhone 11 or older to make this jump.

Most people go for the colors of a iPhone and most people don’t do much on their phone and most people don’t keep their iPhones long unless they on iPhone upgrade program they get a new iPhones every year a normal person will keep their iPhone little bit longer most people will be glad to have a phone

I love the more value for money. But still the phone is more expensive than a laptop, so I think it should have a desktop mode. Also it should have switched to USB C port.

my plan is to go from my regular 12 to the 13 Pro Max, so it will be a bigger improvement than just going from 12 to 13 :) This way I’m getting a bigger better jump, bigger performance jump, and Pro Motion!

I am in love with my iPhone 13 Pro. The 120hz makes all the difference in the experience when using a phone. I have zero complaints except for the 5G...for some reason here in the downtown LA area my 5G is so slow...like really slow when loading web pages etc. It's not slow in every area here in the downtown area but the area's I frequent (coffee shops, work) it struggles to even load a page. I look in the settings but there seems to be no way to shut off 5G. My LTE coverage 4G was just fine and I wish I could toggle the 5G off. Anyone have any tips for doing so please reply. But other than that the iPhone 13 Pro has been a BEAST! Amazing battery life too, but then again it is a brand new phone so that could diminish over time. Cheers Max Tech
