11 pro max ex owner here, just upgraded to 14 pro max. Like the guy in the video said it’s weird that the speed test seemed odd. But from owning both I can safely say the 14 pro max is consistently much faster and smoother with scrolling. The camera is next level . The picture quality is very vivid and clear. It’s a decent upgrade! My 11 pro max has started to lag a bit with the updates so I can’t imagine it lasting that much longer. It’s starting to struggle.

@@willwhit5742 you don’t have to if your IPhone still works properly, obviously. I’ve the same phone as you and mine doesn’t have cracks but slight wear on the outside(scratches). It doesn’t lag or freeze and still outperforms newer Android phones that i’ve tested with the iPhone. If you want a newer and a better battery because obviously our batteries have deteriorated and you also want a better camera and the cinematic mode, then go upgrade. But right now i don’t see a reason to upgrade just yet.

@@CBRyan_600rr I just upgraded from my XS Max to 11 Pro Max simply for more storage. My XS Max never had a single glitch. I just used up the 64 gb. I wanted the sim card so I got a refurbished 11 Pro Max which came "in new" condition. It was guaranteed to have at least 90% battery life but came with 100%. 512 gb memory which is way more than I need but I get to test it out with a cheap phone, so when I buy one of the newer phones I can probably happily settle for 256.

Had google pixel 2 & 3, Samsung Galaxy 8 & 9 when they were first released, had a OnePlus 3t, 5t, and 7t which I will say OnePlus had been significantly cheaper and more relevant than Samsung, but I went through them all because I felt like I needed to upgrade. I love android and their innovation and hope they continue to. I just think they’re doing it at a rate that is too fast and they become irrelevant quicker.

i replaced my 11 pro max before my apple care expired because it would freeze and be really unresponsive with many touch issues that would be consistent and annoying to deal with. Upgrading to the 14 pro max really was a big upgrade with better battery life and it being much smoother and faster

I like the 120Hz and the brightness, the rest I can easily live without. It's not strange that 11 Pro Max is almost as fast or sometimes faster. It has a very good chip still, better than most current Androids, and perfect optimisation.

Not really strange that there some sway in which phone is “faster”. Launching apps with two phones side-by-side is a poor way to compare smartphone speeds. My iPhone 7 still launches apps probably as fast as the new 14 Pro. These phones are way more powerful than they need to be for iOS. The 11 Pro can be a relevant for another 4-5 years easily. I use an a13 in an iPhone SE and it screams even with the small battery. I use a 2nd gen SE (a13), an iPhone 13 (a15), and 14 Pro Max (a16) and when doing basic tasks, theres nothing noticeably different between these devices in terms of performance. All phones are very fast

I’m moving from the 11 pro max to the 14 pro max for a few reasons. Currently apple is offering me an “ok” amount for my 11 pro max. My battery health in my 11 pro max has dropped to 81%. I also wanted to an increase amount of Gbs. All the other things included with the 14 pro max is just a plus. I usually upgrade every 3-4 generations regardless.

As always an interesting video. I once had the 11 pro Max but went over to the s21 Ultra for the incredible zoom. The features you've mentioned on the 14 pro Max are certainly impressive but I will be purchasing the 15 pro Max when it comes out as it will still have all the features the 14 pro Max has along with the Periscope zoom that I so enjoy on the s21. I don't feel like speed tests are accurate because I feel like unless your fingers are super synchronized and you're touching the exact same app at the exact same time I don't think they're super accurate I feel like it gives us a estimation but I just don't think that they're 100% like yeah you can tell what phone is faster by using it I'm not denying that obviously the 14 would have a advantage but I'm just saying that speed test mostly rely on people touching buttons when all reality it comes down to how fast they touched it when did they touch it did they touch one screen half a second faster than the other

I doubt opening apps just once is a valid way to compare cpu performance/render performance. There’s no disclaimer on how hot is app cache for these apps, nor how much was the uptime for the devices, nor the amount of apps running in both systems at the moment. Even the applications versions could be different / built differently. For basic user this may be a valid test. But nowhere near to answering how good/bad old chip is. From what I observed with my currently owned 11 pro max, is that it turned out to be a wonderfully optimised chip that can easily beat or be comparable with current “modern” models. For me personally the biggest question is photography capabilities between those 2 models. Apple long played the card “megapixels don’t matter” and then when there were no ideas, they reverted their principle and did something that was in the market for a long time. Computational part of the photography and low light capabilities got better, but in some tests 11 pro max was better than 12 pro max / 13 pro max camera. So I suggest people to take camera tests always with a grain of salt and compare their use cases.

The issues I am having with the 14 pro max is ridiculous. Both 11 and 14 have identical data on it, and same WiFi. Yet, the 14 is literally eating home internet data at a terrifying speed. In 10 minutes it chewed 15gb. In 6 days it’s taken 450gb where as the 11 is not even a couple of gb in 6 days and I don’t use the phones any different from each other 😢

Saying that the 14 feels more premium because it has square sides. Like really? I actually prefer the rounded edges of the 11, is much more low profile so I don’t have a giant phone bulge in my pants pocket. You want to talk about how the 14 camera is so much better due to the 48mp but that’s only with Apple ProRAW turned on, otherwise it is defaulted to 12mp anyway (the same mp rating as the 11) plus those 48mp would only be utilized when cropping into photos so if you’re not cropping photos you’re not using the 48mp you’re still only using 12mp. There really are no differences from the 2 phones other than the size of the screen which is only a .2 difference. They both utilize the Super Retina XDR display. The 14 has 200 more nits of brightness but really how often are you using your phone at max brightness. The 14 has pro motion (120hz) but compared to the iPhones 11 which has a refresh rate of 60hz your eyes are not going to be able to notice the extra 60 FRAME A SECOND 😂😂 Apple has a good way of making their phone look different and sometimes changing nothing at all but the color of the phone and making y’all think you’re getting some crazy new phone but in reality you’re just getting the same thing but a much bigger price tag

Pretty pointless review. Who cares how fast apps open. 75% of that is an app trying to connect to a server on the Internet so that I can load up your data. Running some games would’ve been nice. Plus the fact that the iPhone 11 doesn’t have 5G makes it kind of lame. And the new cameras with better lenses and low light performance are a must for certain people
