Thank you for explaining it simply. And I have been excited to purchase an iPhone from Hong Kong given the lower prices there (you can save over ₱15k if you buy a similar model there). But you have tagged an important caveat about the Hong Kong variant, which is the lack of eSIM. I have tried using eSIM and it is pretty convenient when you are travelling abroad - you avoid language barriers, waste of time finding physical SIM stores, etc. No need to queue up just to buy a SIM card. So now it makes me think twice about whether it is still worth buying an iPhone the next time I'm there.

Also on a side note, you've made an interesting point on why postpaid (in the Philippines) is not the best value for money. The only reason I can think of for needing a postpaid account is if you have to spend too much time ringing landlines since prepaid packages do not offer inclusive minutes.

You are forgetting the 4th version: single physical sim, no eSIM. Just found out my iPhone 14 plus has no eSIM, yet it can only hold a single sim card. Chinese version. Not all Chinese models have dual sim.

I heard there are Hardware Difference for the US Version IPhones over the rest of the World Iphones. I heard the 5G Hardware of the US is more superior over the Versions released elsewhere coz it can handle "Faster" Data Speeds compared to the 5G Hardware of the other Variants. Plus the ESIM PLatform can accommodate up to 8 ESIMS with the only limitation of 2 Active Lines only per ESIM?? Can you confirm??

The type of sims these phones support is not the only thing that are different among these variants... if you're going to make a sim guide for the 15 series, it's extremely important to detail out the bands each variant covers, because each one has a specific set of cellular bands it supports, that will give you different degrees of support for carriers in different locations. (In regards to the US) For example, the dual esim variant is the only one that supports 5G UW/mmWave for the US. The hybrid dual version is almost identical in band support to that, except no 5G UW/mmWave. The dual-sim version I'm not too sure, but I think it may lack some bands that TMobile and it's MVNOs use for data.
