I can’t believe how different the 15 PM Max feels in hand to my 13 PM. The slightly narrower width and weight really do make a big difference. I can even use it one handed!

My iPhone 8 Plus is still working great. Just replaced the original battery 6 months ago and still at 100% battery health. It looks like “Bendgate” is making a come back with the new Titanium iPhone 15’s. They are super easy to bend and the back glass seems easily breakable according to several KZbin videos I have seen. My honest opinion 98% of people that buy a new iPhone every year waste their money. Only 1-2% of people actually utilize the most advanced features of the newest phone.
@jejunamja
@jejunamja Жыл бұрын
I think the eight plus is just about run. Its distance hasn't it with updates? Don't think you got iOS 17 so it's probably good for. I don't know how long but are they giving security updates on that phone?
@jaredweiman2987
@jaredweiman2987 Жыл бұрын
The 8 doesn't even get current iOS updates anymore. iOS 17 stops at the X series. But I guess a guy with an iPhone 8 is going to tell me how durable the phone I have sitting in front of me is or isn't based on a KZbin video.

Just replaced my X for 15Plus. The 8 internals was the same as X except 8 had a home button. I can attest the X still worked fine. I purchased a 13 last July but sent it back because I could not find much difference in everyday usage. I retired my X after 5 years of great service because it would not go to ios17. The 15 Plus also has much better camera, great processor and great battery life, better screen technology. I still use the X at home connected to wifi. Starting with iPhone 8 and X, the processors were more than capable to handle any heavier iOS that can out in past years. I fully agree with above 8 owner. If he has the larger version he can compete with most recent iPhones for everyday normal usage. I just did not want to spend $85 on a battery for an iPhone that could not be upgraded to IOS 17.
@jejunamja
@jejunamja Жыл бұрын
@@communicationiskey- hey I agree with you keep your iPhone as long as you can but I don't think the 8 plus is getting iOS 17 so I think he's kind of stuck upgrading also. I have the iPhone 13 mini I know that's the exact opposite of what most people want but I'm a runner and so the phone's perfect for me and I also have a job or I'm on my feet all day so having a small phone in my pocket is nice anyway enjoy your new phone and the bitter camera but you're right the iOS experience is going to be almost the same on all iPhones whether they're pros or non-pros or new or old as long as they can download the latest software.

I have a 15 pro and pro max and keep waffling between the two before return date. The distribution of the max is great but with the larger size, it's still hard for me to reach all corners even with bigger hands. But I do want the bigger battery size especially when I travel overseas. I've never owned a Max or Plus sized iPhone ever and the change is still taking a lot of growing pains. Pocketability is also important for me but using a test esim with the pro, I definitely sense it getting warm under tasks I wouldn't expect it to.
@bashirfadel
@bashirfadel Жыл бұрын
I find that in the long run not many people regret going with the pro max but typically people will loan for the pro max when the pro just isnt enough. You get use to navigating the bigger size screen over time. In summary, as a "phone" i like the pro size better (pocketability, one handed use- no hand gymnastics, lightweight). As a "workflow device" the pro max size wins all day (battery size, video editing, 2 hand typing); especially this year with it being lighter. I am going with the pro max personally in natural titanium

Great video, Steve. I got the 15 Pro Max on Saturday, and this is my third Max. I never hold a phone one-handed, so the larger size is not a problem for me. What has been a problem is how hot the phone gets after 15 minutes of talking. Holy crap, we're talking HOT. Has happened at least 4 times. I wrote Apple to advise them. Also, my battery went from 94% to 59% in 3 hours. Not good. I can only hope it settles down soon or I'm sending it back and keeping my 14 Pro Max. Interestingly, I was on IOS 17 beta and did not have one battery problems (many were) and now I do.....................go figure! As far as durability, I always put a case and screen protector on so for me, I doubt I will have an issue. 🙂

Have had one in hand for a little over two days now. The 15 Pro Max feels 2-3x lighter than my iPhone 13 Pro. I don't think the actual weight difference when put on a scale is probably that dramatic, but it is absolutely noticeable. The 15 Pro Max is far more manageable as a daily driver than the older Max series. This likely comes at the cost of durability to the back glass, but if you plan on using a case that probably won't matter. No overheating issues either. No problems with screen alignment, factory defects, or other hysterics that tech KZbinrs are pointing out (though I don't doubt some people, somewhere in the world likely got faulty units). If you need to upgrade or were thinking about it, now isn't a bad time. If you have a 14 Pro Max, I'd probably wait another generation or two as apart from USBC and weight savings you aren't getting much.

I think those durability test are a good gauge on how likely we gonna break your iPhones. The amount of pressure and drops we do on our iPhones for many years will be accumulative damage to our iPhone but titanium is just too weak

I have a question! For my birthday this year, I upgraded from an iPhone 12 to an iPhone 15 Pro. It’s a good thing I have 30 days to test it out before making a commitment. Anyway, the phone is HEAVY. The seller claimed it’s “lighter” due to the titanium, but it feels like a brick! Is the phone above mine (iPhone 15 Max) heavier, similar or lighter? I am contemplating returning to an iPhone 14 or earlier due to the weight. I’m also a woman with petite hands. Advice? Thx in advance.

With a case on, not being able to confidently hold the phone in my hand and thumb swipe left complexly to the right is a deal breaker for me for the pro max. That being said, the lightness factor did almost bring me to buy it. But that single hand one thumb swipe is too critical for me. Regarding the heat "Issue". Unbox Therapy did a full stress test on all iphones and there was none... Must be a corner case of some folks heating the phone by stressing it through games etc and then fast charging it. Titanium doesn't thermally conduct nearly as well as Aluminum. Again, not a widespread problem if any problem at all based on the HW unboxed very thorough test.

I have bigger hands than probably anyone in this comment section, like bear paws big. I have the 12 mini and 13 pro. The 12 mini is a dream to hold... and the 13 pro is even too heavy for extended use. So I don't know what you people with regular sized hands are doing.

Aghh a common sense video, lovely. I’m loving my pro max with fine weave case. Upgraded from a 8 plus and wow, just wow. I think there’s another point to the battery and heat issue. Tsmc is absolutely smashing out millions of a17 chips, some of those are going to be perfect in the centre of the wafer chips and some on the very edge so there’s going to be a bit of a silicone lottery going on. And apple will release new software that tackles poorer chip quality down the line I believe
