Gpu clock Speed was 3x lower on s23u than its max, so actual gpu usage was like 10% and cpu was damn high. So as expected iphone is the king of cpu easy win. Also you remember that genshin used 80% gpu on s23u? That was due to it was running on half clock speed. Geekerwan also confirmed it long ago that genshin doesn't use max Gpu clock speeds on android because cpu bottleneck. Also some guy on twitter showed screenshot with both half and full gpu clocks in genshin on s23u , the actual gpu usage in genshin was 40% on full clocks and 80% on half clocks . 8gen 2 gpu is monster for sure.

It has cooling, just not as effective as Android have (but this is also subjective, since i still prefer the iPhone solution, they are not leading the heat to the battery area from the SoC, so if you are playing and also charging your phone, the battery is not double heating, which can dramatically reduce the battery lifespan)

Some even have a fan inside, there are huge. I haven’t seen iPhone hardware material before, maybe you can make a video and show us. Even if iPhones do have any cooling system, then it is 0.1% big compared to androids 1000% massive size

Game has felt incredible on the 15 pro max. I play on a 15 pro max, top 100 on leader board and 7th for my drone class. Graphics are absolutely stunning for a mobile game it looks better than the division 1. And I can plug into my monitor occasionally since it uses a usbc cable now. I use a healing class with drones. Absolute tank, I am in the top 100 on leader boards and #7 for my healing drone class :)

I love this game! I can't wait to global release. I've been taking it slow in this beta test since I plan to put many hours into this game when it releases. DR will definitely be my main game and also primary testing tool. DR is more demanding than Warzone Mobile as of now when considering 1% lows and graphics are still only limited to medium settings at 60 fps.

I think you need to show us the averages at the end of the graph where both are thermal saturated, since the gap in performance after 10 minutes seems to be even more prominent.

Since the iPhone throttling after 2-3mins because of the inferior cooling, and still beats the SD8G2 what is only start to throttle after 8-10mins because of the better cooling. So the result after the 10mins would even lower fps on the S23 (because iPhone is already throttling for 5-7 mins, so it will not decrease the performance even more, but the S23 just start to throttle there, like the 6fps min is also at the end phasr of the test)

I spent 1300 hours in the PC version of Division 2. And I can truly say that the mobile game is impressively similar. I hope we can start playing as soon as possible.I have the S23 base version and I believe it will handle this game.

Keep in mind that 8 gen 2 came out in 2022, and a17 pro came out in 2023, like 8 gen 3, it would be better to compare processors of the same year

This was another excellent video. I'm happy to see your saga on finding a fair gaming benchmark reached a satisfactory conclusion. It was starting to look like a sisyphean task there for a minute. Congratulations to both teams; I think both sets of fans have a lot to crow about. The new iPhone 15PM did a tremendous job while the aging Galaxy S23U didn't embarrass itself. Far from it, in fact. It'll be interesting to see the S24U take its swings in a few months.

So your benchmarking during the day on the s23 ultra and at night on the iphone. Totally different shaders and shadows. To do a proper bechmark, you need to play the exact same map with the same time.

As much as I like my S23, the iPhone has always been better in terms of optimization, so it's not a surprise it performance slightly better. S23 shines with emulations, installing APKs, it's like a PC, where iPhone is a console.

Well well nothing surprising here. It is what has been the case for the last decade, iPhone is the more powerful smartphone. Well I guess what is surprising is that finally it is only marginally better compared to the best Android phone but I mean iPhone is still the king of smartphones as it is still the one with better optimized games, a faster GPU, the fastest CPU, a brighter and more accurate Apple engineered display compared to the Galaxy and with marginally better battery life according to 10 different tests ive seen on KZbin. A telephoto that can outzoom the Galaxy Ultra in low light conditions and a built in astrophogotaphy mode that beats the galaxy's astro mode

But what else is more powerful is iPhone’s API and the kits that allow developers access to the GPU, and the app development support in general. It’s what makes iPhone a more powerful phone anyway. Combined with the Apple engineered display that is superior to Samsung’s, and combined with iPhone’s CPU. And powerful software engineering is what is lacking on Android phones which is the very reason why iPhone is winning in real world comparisons still to this day.

@@innocentanthony3324 GPU on iPhone is more powerful than the one on Galaxy Ultra. Zoom is 240mm on galaxy and 120mm on iPhone so galaxy has more zoom. But the associated camera is so bad that iPhone’s 5x zoom can sometimes outzoom it even though it’s only half the focal length lol. Display on iPhone is higher performing according to my photographer eyes, and according to thorough examinations by DxO mark and DisplayMate. More color accurate, better uniformity, better off angle accuracy, brightness, image retention prevention, and more
