Vivo is definetely step up the game for photo and videography. I'm an iphone user and in this moment for me they are one step ahead of everyone else in the market. Also for making the comparision fair with the 15 pro zoom capabilities, you didn't use the max optical zoom setting that Vivo has, that it's mindblowing the best in the market at the moment! The night images are crazy sharp and the lights managment it's amazing! you could try to reduce a bit the exposure on the iPhone i'm sure it will perform better. Night video mode Vivo is incredible smooth and brigther compared to IPhone it's crazy! i would never tought that! During the daylight they are almost on par but i do prefer the HDR and the color of the Vivo as well! The only two downside of this Vivo are: poor software for the global rom, and also the lack of support. A smartphone it's not just a camera.... Nice comparision! 👏

It is impressive for sure and imo in still image its not close, the vivo is way ahead. However the video is not as impressive as i initially thought on the Vivo. If you look at when he pans around the vivo suffers from pretty bad pan judder, sadly this is common on android and i dont think it will ever be better than iphone in this deprtament.

For video, the iPhone is still a lot ahead of other Androids with Apple Log now, and raw recording is mind-blowing, but 30 seconds of video in 15 Pro/Max is more than 6GB, but the quality and details were stunningly tested on the 15 Pro Max two days ago. BTW, I'm a Samsung user.

Vivo X100 pro just got its software update recently and added 4K30 and 4K60 fps on the front video recording. Also added feature of switching between lenses while recording. :)

You already have a good phone. I wouldn't upgrade to any phone from that. You would get a better camera with the vivo and slightly better battery life... but... spending that money when you have a great phone already...not worth it

Iphone sucked. Bad image stabilisation, Lens flares, lower quality in every way also they did change the sharpening to even more then before in last update wich made it worse. Yellow/red skintone, not good. To much contrast.

vivo did score great. So happy to have more choice. Best night photos between all latest cameras. I did not like the video during night. Iphone did perform smoother despite darker video, but anyhow better compromise. The vivo in this comparison here did not produce smoot movement, despite other videos I saw with vivo - was performing great during night videos. Would wait 14 ultra and 24 ultra before I buy my phone

We did not get the X90 Pro in the UK due to issues with VIVO refusing to pay license fees so although I am glass half full, I doubt we will see it over here for the foreseeable especially as VIVO isn't doing too well.

Since the vivo's silfie cam is fixed focus unlike the iphone, you need to find the best arm distance to take the best pic of it. Chinese phones are getting better and thus more popular in europe thx for the honest reviews from the youtubers. Great video!

I found the night videos were softer on the iphone and not as sharp as on the vivo. The panning of the night video on the iphone was smoother than on the vivo, as if the vivo's 30fps looks like 20fps... What about the price? vivo vs iphone 15 ?

I learned a lot here. *night shots main camera still photo- vivo ultra wide still photo- iphone zoom lense still photo - vivo main camera 4k video - vivo has surprisingly better stabilization but lights are overblown. iPhone is smoother even though both are only 30fps and better handling of lights, but darker overall ultra wide 4k video - iphone. better quality, smoother, better handling of lights front camera video - vivo has better output overall even though it's only 1080p. no sense going 4k if quality is less *day time portrait still photo - iphone is better. main camera still photo - vivo is better zoom camera still photo - vivo is way better ultra wide still photo - i agree, they are equal. it's case to case front camera photo - iphone is better main camera 4k video - iphone is slightly better in smoothness and stabilization front camera video - iphone is again, just slightly better in quality. 4k shows here ultra wide 4k video - iphone is clearly better iPhone is still king of video capture out of all smartphones. As for me, an android user, I envy that video quality. But since I don't really shoot videos and only use phone camera to capture still photos and portraits, I would still prefer Vivo. But again, I'm not an apple user. Sadly, iPhone is still better in portrait mode, I hope it can be improved by future software updates. Planning to get this X100 pro soon. question: is there any other android phone that is closer to iPhone 15 Pro in terms of portrait photos?

The galaxy s23 ultra is probably the only android that can perform on par if not better than the iphone's portrait mode. The bokeh simulation and the blur cutout is better. But if you're into photography and often use filter or alter colors in lightroom then s23 is good to go. Better wait for the s24 ultra

The night video stabilization on the vivo was just shoulders above than the iPhone. iPhone was so jittery! In the portrait shots I am surprised you found edge detection of Vivo worse without highlighting where it did worse. In the 3rd pic, the Vivo phone even detected the little girl's stray hairs on her side which the iPhone straight up failed.

Damnn it, I am planning to buy it in 2024 Feb or March. I am an android guy, also a Samsung fan boy. But in this range X100 Pro is amazing. X100 Pro is the best option if S24 / S24 Plus come out with Exynos instead of SD. Its kind of confirmed, its Exynos not SD. Only Ultra has SD. Also In INDIA, Samsung and Apple super expensive due to huge TAX. S23 Ultra is starting from above 1 lakh INR. I don't think spending above 1 lakh is worth for a smartphone unless u are a content creator or some one earn from this investment. Only drawback is front camera is average with only 1080P U earned a new sub

vivo x100 pro has far cleaner images that look like they're taken with an actual camera because of the optics used whereas the iphone images still look like smartphone images with digital noise

both equally misses the edges at times, iphone portraits are noisier while vivo got it very clean and the colors r much much better. so for portraits, i think its the Vivo.

Now I normally won’t use my iPhone to take photos and videos anymore, as the X100 Pro image and video quality already closed to my Sony Mirrorless camera and I even don’t need to do any post editing to the photos. Same set up as me but mine is the pro and not pro max, i am pleasantly surprised that the vivo camera is generally superior to the iPhone in almost any situation for both stills and video. Looks like they made the best use of both Zeiss color science and computational photography

There is a zero chance of VIVO coming to the US, and even in Europe, where they are banned in Germany, it seems hopeless. For example, we have never seen the X90 Pros in the UK.

always choose iphone because the shutter speed of the camera is very fast compared to android. the stability of the video recording is also better than android. color, contrast and other issues can be edited in the gallery..

Drop frames in vivo's night video it's because drops automatically to 24 fps for a better quality. It can be disabled in camera settings.
