My "old" iPhone 12 from 2020 does everything I need it to do so not upgrading yet. The only issue (which I have experienced on all my previous iPhones) is the battery, sometimes I need to charge it 3 to 4 times a day now if I make a couple of phone calls or FaceTime calls or watch a few videos on KZbin, so I have to always carry a power bank now. But I do not think there is enough of a performance difference to make the upgrade yet.

I'd recommend taking your iPhone into the Apple store and have them replace your battery. The cost is somewhere between $79-$99 (parts and labor) and honestly its well worth it. I replaced my iPhone 6s battery twice and was able to keep it for over 5 years.

I'm using iPhone 12 for 3 years no issues with mobile, I either get Samsung S24 ultra if the features are ground breaking or else wait till iPhone 16.

I don’t know anybody that has an iPhone without a case. So all these comparisons in terms of the glass on the back, the curve on the sides, the frosted look is all pretty much irrelevant.

I actually hate the Dynamic Island, feels intrusive as it’s deeper into the screen compared to the 12/13. Plus why part a $600/700 more for an app opening 1 second faster? The camera is also not all that different honestly, you’ll need to nitpick. I do think the 15 pro is a worthwhile upgrade, but that dynamic island though 🙄

i went from a 12 to a 15, i do not regret it even the slightest, it has so much better battery life and much less overheating, a better camera, usbc, way brighter screen that is actually visable out in sunlight with dynamic island, much faster A16 chip with better efficiency, my iphone 12 dropped to 90 percent battery capacity in just 1 year and got me literally like 3 hours of screen on time with just listening to music after 1 year, my iphone 15 is currently at 93 percent battery health which isnt amazing either but with low power mode on it stays cool and lasts all day no matter what, sometimes i can go like 12 hours of like listening to music on airplane mode even tho my iphone 15 battery health has dropped, the battery doesnt suck because the battery is much bigger and the chip is more efficient with less overheating

I dropped a 35 lb weight on mine at the gym and assumed it would be toast. But with only a screen protector added (no case) it survived with just some minor cracks on the back of the phone. Things built like a tank! 🦍

I think if you’re going to upgrade you should definitely go for the 15 because of the USB C port being the new standard.
