idk why these videos don't get more likes/views. They're the best reviews I've ever seen, and I watch them despite having no interest whatsoever in mainstream tech (more of a Let's Note/dumbphone guy). I love the camera quality these new phones can do now. But....My 13 Pro Max is long paid-off, and it does home/work things perfectly fine. And as I'm not a photographer or movie shooter, until my battery becomes un-useable, I'm gonna hold on my paid off iPhone for now.

Yeah phones these days are so good and durable, except the batteries, but you can always replace the battery in an Apple Store when it goes bad instead of upgrading the whole phone.

🎉 same. I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and the battery 🔋 is still going strong 💪 years later! Still snappy, does everything I need. My picture are great. 😅 Phones are just so good 😊 now I don’t have to upgrade for years. They will have to do a massive design upgrade and/or significantly improve battery life for me to want to upgrade. I guess I am waiting for the iPhone XX 😉👍

This review is spot on. I was somewhat excited about camera control until I actually used it. I don’t think I’ll use it for anything other than opening the camera app and maybe taking photos-but even that is easier to do via the screen (so far, at least).

It will get better, as it was just released. Third-party apps can use it, and Visual Intelligence, coming in December, will use that button (iPhones Circle to Search).

Remember the old Nokia Lumia 1520 Windows Mobile OS phablet? The "humongous" 6" screen with super thick bezel? I used to mock a guy I knew who had that phone by holding up my Nexus 7 tablet to pretend to be talking on the phone in front of him.😁 Now I'm using a Galaxy S24 ultra!😅

I think that the action button on the 15 ProMax was a nice addition, but the camera button on the 16 ProMax is a bit long in the tooth & it seems to get in the way.

Why isn’t anyone talking about the fact that the volume up button works just like the “new camera control” as far as snapping photos and or recording videos. Also that all of those controls are just as easily accessible on the screen. This camera button is nothing more than a redundant gimmick! I say this as an all in Apple sheep who is for the first time in over ten years not upgrading my iPhone Pro.

The dedicated camera button on my iPhone 16 pro max is really awful and uncomfortable to use. The 5X optical zoom is mediocre & not a patch on the S24 Ultra , though the macro is now fantastic compared to my old 13 pro max

Hit the nail on the head in the first minutes with your assessment of the size. I just upgraded from iPhone 13 mini to 16 pro, mainly for the telephoto camera - even the 16 pro seems like a very large phone to me so there was no way I wanted the max and would NOT have upgraded and so I’m really pleased they put the best cameras on the smaller phone now. I have to say the 13 mini was still performing so well it was really only the battery life ( not amazing ) and the cameras that made me want to upgrade I was a mainly android lover for so long but never kept an android as long as I kept that 13 mini… I hope the 16 pro lasts as long! 😅

I went to the 16 pro from 14 pro max. I love it. I’m still adjusting to the smaller screen but it is much easier to use. I can def see the difference in camera for sure. Especially video

The regular Pro has been a disappointment generation after generation in terms of battery life. I changed to the Pro Max and can’t see myself going back. Mostly, I don’t trust Apple’s battery life claims. “All day battery life” is perhaps their biggest lie. I think their focus on longer battery life this time - as fuzzy as it was - is because they know that the AI features will significantly impact battery life.

This is the worst iPhone launch ever and I’ve been with iPhone since the original 2007. For them not to have Apple intelligence AI ready to launch the day you purchased this phone is like an insult. I personally don’t care about Apple Intelligence, but it feels to me as if this entire launch was rushed and not well fought out. I currently have an iPhone 14 Pro Max one terabyte and I refuse to upgrade until they give us a 2 TB storage option. The video camera on this phone has made me so much money posting KZbin videos that it literally pays for itself. I use my iPhone for all of my blogging and I don’t need a laptop or MacBook to edit since I edit in iMovie on the phone. Because the new 4K, 120 frame per second mode eats up roughly one gigabyte per minute I need no less than three hours worth of storage space for my videos so that I can finalize them on the phone without having to move them to another device. I want no less than 500 GB to create my videos. Even if they had offered a storage pump to 1.5 TB I might have bought the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but they didn’t offer it so I will abstain. The new camera button is OK, but I think they need to find tune it. It has too many functions when the main goal is simply supposed to be quickly accessing the camera and simply being able to point and shoot the camera. I also think Apple needs to change the design of the 17. They’ve been using the exact same design since iPhone 11 and it’s getting stale.
