Thought it was just me but my screen freezes too. Sometimes after I use Face ID it takes me to Siri suggestions and then just freezes. I have to restart the phone. Another one is where it connects to wifi and then disconnects and then connects and disconnects. Sad part is when it disconnects from Wifi and I am sending a message to an Android user it fails or when I open my browser it does not go to the site and times out.

In the US and I also noticed my iPhone not "just working" like it used to years before. The keyboard feels glitchy, reception seems more scarce, and the apps randomly crash

If your battery is old, that is probably the issue. Check your battery health, if it’s less than like 85% you’ll probably have that. Only use a charger that is usbc and supports what Apple recommends for its device. If you use too weak of a charger it will damage the battery quickly.

Mobile phones should be DROPPING in price not increasing. Technology upgrades each year are now extremely marginal. Mass Production and phone popularity should be bringing prices down. Its bullshit. I also struggle to believe that after 16 years and TRILLIONS if dollars in sale's that the best possible phone design is a glass brick that burns out in 2-3 years. I mean .. come on 🙄

I went from the pro max to the 16 pro this year and I’m much happier with the size. The battery life has been good too. The size of the pro max is ridiculous now.

Im new to IOS so my opinion is from an Android(Samsung) user who migrated to Apple. Bought the iPhone 16 Pro Max 512. First day of use the keyboard felt somewhat glitchy but after updating to 18.1 the keyboard is smooth now. I see a whole lot of people complaining about freezing and all. Ive never had any freezing issues, no issues whatsoever with mine. I watched the Apple Intelligence intro videos and that’s why i was sold and honestly I’m pretty happy with what they have now. Honestly speaking most of you guys complaining never really need some of the features you wished it had. I mean i can copy whatever on my MacBook and paste on my iphone. Proof reading and even summarizing my emails and articles. I can pretty much use my phone without even having to touch my screen. Built quality feels good, feels good on the hand. Audio is really good, camera is really really really good. Im a photographer by profession and i been shooting really nice videos and photos on my phone. I’m very happy with my choice honestly.

16 plus- so much of this myself, freezing/ non responsive apps, stuttering on maps, Safari completely non responsive, 5G network and NO signal the list goes on. 18.2 still the same problems. Re camera control; i gave up through frustration preferring to use the main screen. Its switched off completely now. On the good- battery is excellent and camera images are amazing as point and shoot

Ive had the issue with stuttering maps when navigating sometimes, but for me that has actually been present since even before iOS 18. And Safari not being responsive I have had happen, and I found the way to fix that is to force close the app and reopen it and it’ll load

I just got mine for Christmas with one very accidental drop not from very high I’d say probably barely a foot even half that, but am now noticing the screen itself is very slightly off centre on top right and bottom left. Like my fingers nail if I move it from side to side has a bit more wiggle room then the reverse corners, nothing deal breaking just a tad concerned when looking from a bit of an angle is this just a me thing? Or is this a thing people notice too? Also this is an upgrade from an almost 10 year old iPhone 8! So I’m very satisfied but also man this was a jump not only again after choosing to stick with a very much beaten and barely working iPhone 8 this jump was spectacular! Also I’m not sure if it’s because of the whole 10 years with a really old phone, I am not used to typing on this I miss button or press the wrong button or auto correct has to save me a lot more. I’m not particularly proud to say that but yeah also with this screen moved I mess up the corners like backspaces or Q or numbers or p I have to tap multiple times just to type something, it’s not ruining my experience but it’s a bit annoying.

Personally speaking, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is far ahead in features and performance than the 16 Pro Max.. 16 ro Max freezes half of the times, and they even didnt fix it in the latest update 😂, the only good thing about 16 Pro Max is its camera for content creation, nothing else..

Yeah I agree. I’ve always had that complaint with them as well. But I was surprised the 16PM seemed better at surface level, at home giving me a better signal. But I’ve picked up on how bad it’s truly been lately, and MAN I cant.

I’m not buying a $$$$ flagship smartphone/cellphone - now that we have 5G for pete’s sake - only to have to use public wifi everywhere I go, or need to carry a 2nd smartphone to get a cell signal.

I don’t think so, but I could be wrong. I don’t see burning being an issue because the AOD does not stay on endlessly, and if you wear an Apple Watch and you’re away from the phone it turns off + if you are putting it in your pocket it’s off as well. When it’s on my nightstand sleeping it’s not always on, it stays on for a while and turns off.

I'm honestly curious who's your carrier... if it's TELUS / Koodo / Public then what you're saying makes sense. the TELUS network is just having issues for the last 2 years for me. it's better on my pixel 9 Pro XL, but it's still not what I remember TELUS being quality wise. A lot have said they're pulling out all the Huawei network stuff, but it's been about 2 years since TELUS has started having these strange network issues like you described about the apps just spinning and loading forever.

To be honest if other company will release a incomplete phone with all the marketing around a feature you are not going to be able to use in the next 6 moths or in some cases in the next year, that company will be in a serius problem... but not Apple, I've been hearing comments for friends somethin like "I don't need IA for anything, I just need a good phone" or "Apple is a head of other companies you will see" and I'm here with my iphone 15 pro max with the worse battery experience after updating to IOS 18 with some persistent bugs and I don't really think Apple is a head of anyone, it is just catching up

Too much fussing about nothing regarding the dynamic island. It's right in the name..."dynamic". If they can shrink the Face ID sensors they will and the island being dynamic can shrink if you're watching video content or playing a game. Yes, it's an iconic part of the look, but it's not a limitation. The hardware is for now.
