If Apple had shipped the iPhone 16 with unfinished AI software, people would have been disappointed. The iPhone 16 represents a significant leap for those who should be upgrading. Upgrading a phone annually is a luxury, so it’s understandable that you might feel underwhelmed when you upgrade every year.

I see that, they’re damned either way and needed a selling point, and I guess we’d rather the iPhone 16s eventually support Apple Intelligence than not support it at all. But awkwardly it does mean it’s difficult for me to recommend an iPhone 16 in good faith on the basis of Apple Intelligence instead of waiting for a 17, unless your current phone is on the verge of dying and you’ve got to upgrade regardless

@@sukhdeepsmIt’s pretty much the same with the Pixel 9 this year. Notice how Google released the new Pixels with year old Android 14? Because Android 15 for Pixel simply isn’t finished and releasing them with a buggy unfinished Android 15 will be a death sentence to those phones.

Everyone who bought a pixel knew when android 15 would drop as it did yesterday. meanwhile Apple Ai won't be fully realized instill sometime next year .

No you're missing the point. It was the hard core misleading marketing that people are unhappy with . Apple gave zero indication the phones would have zero of the new Ai with most not coming until next year. They misled people knowing that this year was barely any better then last so they used sales gimmick and misleading marketing instead .

It’s a tough choice because I want the best possible performance in both photos and videos on a smartphone. However, everywhere I turn, people keep telling me that the iPhone is the king of video, while the Pixel is the king of photography. It’s frustrating. Why isn’t there a device that excels at both, outperforming everyone else? It feels like each brand is perfecting only one area, leaving consumers like me having to compromise when what we really want is an all-in-one solution.

Both are great cameras tbh, a lot of it boils down to nitpicking and personal preference. One way of thinking about it is that if you don’t like the way iPhone photos look, you can always edit them yourself to get your own look (either by shooting in ProRAW or using the new tone mapping feature) - just some food for thought

I have the black iPhone 16 plus I was originally was gonna go with the 16 pro but I wanted better battery life etc it’s pro enough for me.

another fire video....the only Iphone I've used is an iphone 14 pro max and boy was it heavy I used it for like half a day....the cameras were impressive....has the increase in size increased some weight?......if I hadthe money to get an iphone I would get the 6.3" 16 pro

Thanks! Yeah the 14PM was a beast to carry. 16PM is apparently 10g heavier than the 15PM but I haven’t noticed a difference, comfort is basically the same as before

I love the black titanium stealth look but I hate the pocket lint that gathers around the cameras!! I'm thinking Natural Titanium will be better.

Ngl I had to clean the cameras a lot during this review, and even then they wouldn’t stay clean 🤦🏽‍♂️ Honestly natural titanium could be the way to go, I just love black too much 🙃

@@sukhdeepsm It's good experience. I just don't like abrotary apps like KZbin, Google and Facebook. I should have the choice to uninstall the apps, which Android doesn't allow only disable. Yet it's great for work and daily use experience.

I wish I could have enjoyed that phone. It was just too big, especially with a case. I upgraded from the 15 Pro to 16 Pro Max (only bc I wanted to try the bigger phone). I regretted it and sent it back for the 16 Pro. But nonetheless, I was happy with the upgrade even it being a small upgrade

Yeah Pro Max isn’t for everyone, you’ll either love or you hate it. I know I love it and could never go back to the standard Pro, but get how for some people it could be too much.

I understand that many people are not satisfied with the lack of Apple Intelligence in the new iPhone. Personally, I would prefer to wait for a fully functional AI rather than accept a compromised version.

I just bought the 16 pro yesterday …and I am finding the camera app very laggy also should I upgrade to 18.0.1

I’m on 18.0.1 and it’s working fine for me (I don’t follow the .0.1 updates in super detail though so not sure what’s new with this update other than bug fixes). Haven’t had any issues with camera lagging either, but maybe that was an issue with the previous iOS 18 that’s now been fixed, so on that basis it’ll probably be worth updating
