Nah. The 16 Pro hardware is a decent yearly improvement imo. But iOS 18 on the other hand it pure garbage! Badly optimized on all devices, with micro-stuttering and input lag. So many bugs. So many awful design choices and UI misalignments.

Hey! I purchased the iPhone 15 Pro Max in January 2024 as a first time Apple user after being with Samsung for over 10 years. I like the phone a lot and I’m still trying to learn it but I’m having trouble understanding all of the features of the camera and the phone itself. When I heard the 16 Pro Max was coming out and when Apple announced the 15 Pro Max was being discontinued, I was really upset and felt regret but many people told me it’s not worth switching over since I have 15 Pro Max. Where can I go to learn all of the features on a 15 Pro Max as a first time Apple user, especially with the camera?

Go for 15 PM because it can handle day-to-day functions. If you are not using in a professional way, go for it. But when you do, go for 16 pro max because it is a bit cleaner, clearer, and sharp. Well If you have patient, wait for 17 series because Apple seems cooking in 17 series. The camera in this series would probably be incredible.

The iPhone 15 Pro Max has been getting software updates for a year, which gives it the edge. A year later is a fair comparison when the camera can take advantage of its hardware.

Thank you for clearly explaining the 'so-called' 48-megapixel sensor on the UW lens, and the configurations required to force its activation--most reviewers don't explain this as succinctly. I've seen some interesting reviews comparing image quality on the 12 Pro Max versus the 16 Pro Max. Under some circumstances the 12 Pro Max images were obviously much better--under many conditions there wasn't a great deal of difference--not warranting payment of $2500Au to upgrade just to get the 'new' camera. Of course, the CPU performance is considerably improved in benchmarks--without translation to significant real-world improvements. The 16 Pro Max does have 8 Gb of RAM, versus 6 Gb on the 12 Pro Max. However, all 'improvements' since 2020 have been minor increments rather than revolutionary--most users couldn't even detect them.

Most of us love iphones for its vivid mode filter and its colors while taking pictures. Now in 16 line up u cannot directly take pictures in vivid mode anymore .. they introduced new stule of photography which is not good.. and unfortunately 15 line up camera pictures looks better and crisp compared to 16 line up cameras. Even if u take pics in standard mode later if u apply vivid filters.. its clarity is worse compared to 15 camera pictures. I personally experienced it and i recommend 15pro max over 16

The biggest upgrade on the iPhone 16 Pro Max is the chip speed - hence the 120 fps video with full HDR. However, the camera sensors are unchanged except for the ultrawide, which is worse on the new model despite having a higher res.

Hello! First of all, thank you for this great video! Personally, I’m a bit disappointed with the iPhone 16 Pro... especially when it comes to photos and videos. While some photos and videos are really beautiful, others are just terrible... Some photos have a grainy look, with a tint that leans toward gray. Some videos also appear grainy, and sometimes there's a pixelated effect when you zoom in on the details. The graininess is even more noticeable at night (especially for videos). As for my settings: - I take photos in standard mode, but sometimes I use Pro RAW Max. - For videos, I shoot in 4K at 60fps.

I’m on the 16 pro max from a 14 pro max , I wouldn’t say I upgraded this is not a upgrade ? Hopefully, my first impressions with this phone will be better once Apple Intelligence actually shows up. Apple seem to be losing the plot over the last few years. Given that the 14 pro max looks great value for money still with a decent camera. I think you just took really bad photos. Also, I think that you did not fully maximize the features of the new camera. And you are not being transparent with the camera settings on this video. Minor changes or little improvements are still an improvement. Should i upgrade to iphone 16 pro max from iphone 15 pro max? Absolutely not. I think once again, you’re downplaying the value of Camera Control. It is especially great for launching the camera, taking landscape photos and videos, selfies using front AND back cameras and zoom is ok. Apple WILL be tweaking CC interface and improving it, especially with zoom or mode switching sensitivity when they release two stage shutter photos feature and Visual Intelligence, which is exciting. They will likely also improve the new Ultrawide lens processing. Nice to see the Tetraprism lens higher zoom getting sharper.

The camera system on the 15PM benefits from a year of updates, and is the more polished performer at the moment in comparison to that on the 16PM. Compare the two in 11 months from now, and I would expect the camera system on the 16PM to be superior. Not by much however.
