Yes, it's really good especially vs what I tested, Vivo, Xiaomi, Oppo, Pixel... The only thing is that it's still not so smooth as iPhone front, jitters occur l, but I can live with that

@@VelianSpeaksTech It's practically impossible for the S24U to reach this level. The iPhone looks very fluid because of the position of the cameras, they are closer together. The S24U's are very far apart, and that makes that jumpy effect appear when switching. In reality, the S24U is also very fluid, but it doesn't look as smooth as the iPhone for the reasons I mentioned.

For sure the sensor position plays a role specifically with the so called sensor shift, where you can see how the image gets centered on and off when the 3x and 5x and uw and wide camera are switched to. The other factor could be that the S24U has 4 individual cameras, and the iPhone has only 3, uw, wide and 5x. But even so, it's currently unbeatable in this.

Really strange results. Tested on my iPhone 16 pro and my pixel 9 pro and didn't see nearly the same issues with the front camera.

I think the S24U is smashing it in the camera comparisons. The only area where the iphone clearly outperforms the S24U is the zoom transitions. Admittedly the Samsung has an extra lens to pass through, but clearly Samsung needs to work on it.

Galaxy S24 Ultra has better cameras, screen and microphone and is more stable.The iPhone is only slightly faster at loading games and some apps but nothing impressive. Apple was left behind. Last but not least Galaxy S24 Ultra also has better AI features.

Indeed!!!! This freaked me out too, Pixel 9 Pro XL was doing the same but far less aggressive... This is way to much correction to keep the face well exposed so it totally blows the highlights sadly on front. But at least the front video is smoother less jittery vs Galaxy and it nails the lense zoom cycle, incredibly smooth.

Thank You for video. You making very nice and honest content. I think iPhone enginers living in cloudy citys, and They don't go out too often from lab. That's why 😂 Looks like Auto-Exposure algorithm it's total mess there. When S24U keep it under control. Edit: I forgot.. Samsung front cam good, and voice record sound very clean.

Tnx man, I check some other videos and the 16 Pro Max doest the same, not a lot of people paying attention to this, if you shoot in mainly sunny areas, it's okay, but with sun and shadows the exposure control of the area outside the face is far to aggressive.

in video recording the Samsung is doing a better job, for photos i like more the iPhone, well actually if you use Night Mode in the Samsung in a Day Photo you are going to have a natural look in photos, i don't like the proccesing that samsung is applying to photos pictures, i just discovered that if you use Night Mode in Samsung it doesn't proccess the picture for some reason, only in a night scene i hope you can test what i say and look for the results, cheers!

In tech chap review, there are some moments where it does that, I don't like it. I will retest again, but this is some very aggressive processing to keep the face well exposed thus overexposing highlights completely in the area outside the face

Yes, and not only. Better processing with the front camera but sadly also front video is more jittery. iPhone nails the zoom cycle and video smoothness and also stabilization is now as good as the Galaxy.
