@@VelianSpeaksTech iPhones also have a feature similar to Auto FPS like on the Samsung, which is always on and does cut the frame rate when it gets dark, but you did not turn on the Auto FPS option on the S24 Ultra so it couldn't reduce the frame rate.

What i think the iphone is doing when zooming is that it is cropping from the current sensor until it reaches the required zoom then switching. While the samsungs shift the cameras instead of cropping from the current sensor.

16:35 Samsung's skinton is better in all portraits. in all portraits, the apple pancake is white without tonal transitions I don't need Apple's dynamic range at the price of skinton degradation. as far as I know, the retouching that the iPhone does does not turn off in the phone itself. Unless you turn on Pro mode and shoot in RAW

1. Front cam video iPhone crazy over-exposure, dynamic range is broken , colors looks too bright. Probably They decide to put more priority brightening face. But IMO result are very bad. Samsung keep exposure on aceptable result, but in same time, not losing details on higher dynamic range. The colors are a bit more saturated - but they not go crazy, with good taste. 2. Voice recording quality Both phones doing very well. IMO iPhone better than previous generation. But Samsung voice abit more clear. iPhone record more bass. 3. Front cam night video I don't like both. Samsung oversaturated, and iPhone desaturated colors, but it's usable. Samsung too dark.. that's why iPhone win. 4. Zoom video and photo Samsung 90% the way. More details more sharpness, very good stabilization. iPhone very smooth transitions between lenses. But it is not most important. Idk how other people, but Me personally 90% of the time use in day time.. and Samsung when have enough light make it very very good. But Samsung should improve camera at night. iPhone very smooth transitions between lenses. More important is what We doing more often. Personally i not zoom in and zoom out all the time.

A very realistic test this. No fakery to favour one device over another. They are both FAR from perfect in terms of photography, and a Chinese flagship would embarrass them. I think Apple is even stagnating in terms of video, and it's lead in terms of overall quality is now miniscule. It still beats the S24 Ultra in video. The S24's video quality in this test was abysmal in low light, and a real backwards step from that shot by my S23 Ultra on so many levels. Samsung has been promising 'big' camera improvements via software updates for poor long suffering S24 Ultra owners for too long now. Many are losing patience.

True... if any of those phones face the Vivo X100 Ultra, or Oppo Find X7 Ultra or Xiaomi 14 Ultra or even the Pixel 9 XL Pro in some scenarios... it will hurt, that`s for sure... Samsung and Apple are now running in their own lane... lazy incremental upgrades, 5x optical zoom, not very usable after 10x... no chance vs the chinese flags. The irony behind that is the fact that chinese phones are using the superior Samsung & Sony sensors, like the Samsung Isocell HP9 200MP zoom monster and the latest 1" Sony LYT generation...

Those are the default stock formats, Apple adopted heic with iOS11 or 12.. since then heic is the stock, the S24U uses jpg as stock and you can change to HEIC if you want.

The samsung raw is a kind of fake raw. If you use Lightroom's Denoise feature, you will not be able use it with the samsung raw. The 50 and 200mp is over post processing, even in Expert RAW app. And we can't disable it.

Both phones produce disappointing results, in my opinion. The only reason I would go for the Galaxy is that you can install a (good) gcam on it and get much better results. These two companies are clearly not doing their best, especially when it comes to exposure and details, probably slowing down their improvements to keep something new to improve the following year.

​@@wasil3k I used to like it. When you open the DNG file, you do have a little more room to make the photo look ok, but it doesn't merge enough frames at night to get a clean image. There are still some greenish spots and blurry details, unless you use a very long exposure time, which helps. But I'm only talking about the one on the S23 Ultra; the one on the S24 Ultra is probably better.

Wow, this took some time and effort. Bravo, Velian ! Reliable/predictable shutter lag free camera, with the best video recording out there versus unpredictable camera that still needs updates for basic things and a lot of fine tuning/settings combinations in order to get decent result. Choice, at least how I use the device (plain and simple point and shoot, witout pixel peeping and analysing, and with a lot of moving subjects), is pretty easy.
