I'm upgrading my 14 Pro Max to 16 Pro Max ... iOS 18 will not be available for the iPhone 14 ... but with that said my iPhone 14 Pro Max was/is a great device.

affer updating my kids phones for many years, I'm moving from a 7 plus to a new 16 pro Max. I have to admit I'm excited. that said I think I have to ignore a lot of comments about whether I should you should upgrade or not this year.

This will be a major upgrade for you! As far as ignoring people’s comments, most of them are already on a 14/15 pro/pro max and don’t feel the need to upgrade, so they don’t want anyone else to upgrade. Weirds right? Anyway, I’m upgrading my 14 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max because there are several features I won’t be able to get on my current device. Plus I’m happy to get usb-c and the camera control button.

Love the extra camera buttons on the 16 Pro Max and it's faster CPU will help speed up facial recognition. 48 MP Ultra Wide is VERY nice and getting 5X Optical in Telephoto is a huge plus, I use my iPhones a lot for video/photo ... the 5.4 Bluetooth is very nice also when combine with 5.4 devices delay is eliminated.

It's all good every year they improve something, But does it make sense to spend money every year knowing that next year there will be a new and improved one? And I'm losing out on the reliability of the iphone to Honor magic 6 pro! I have this Honor that fell with the display on the tile from a height and did not break!!! And the iphone 15 pro max crashed!!! Here it is an expensive thing!!!

@@GurvirB03assuming the iPhone XS/Xr a phone from 2018 is supported even today in 2024 which is 6 years , the iPhone 11 series might drop in 2026-7 , iPhone 12 would drop in 2028-2029 , iPhone 13 would drop in 2029-2030, and 2031-2032 for the 14 , or , apple could scrap the iPhone XS/XR/11 together , next year , and 2 years later in 2026 they would scrap off iPhone 12/13 series and 2 years later again scrap off 14/15 series , Like they did for the iPhone SE,6s& 7
