Why do they have to put the black border around?

Because it’s much better than glass without it. Rounded corners, covers more screen, more durable on the corners as well, etc. Still waiting for a company to make the black bezel much thinner than they are at the moment, to not cover any visible part of the screen. Waiting for the revised FloLab screen protector to arrive, as apparently the black bezels are thinner.
