Speedy refresh rate is considered a premium feature on a smartphone,if you’re primarily using your device to browse and chat with friends and family then you probably won’t see a huge benefit from it. For gamers, the feature has a more obvious value as it can make gameplay feel much smoother and more natural. However, you also need to consider whether your favourite games and apps are even compatible with a higher refresh rate. If they top out at 60Hz then there isn’t much point in chasing after a 120Hz display. 120hz also is a power drainer

Oct 11, 2024 Honestly that Beam size for the flashlight seems pretty cool and is the only reason I’d upgrade. Everything else is already doable on my 14 pro 1TB…but that Beam adjusting thing seems like more of an iOS 18 feature and not an A18 feature because y’all can’t tell me my 2 years apart A16 isn’t that powerful to handle something as basic as adjusting the beam light…😂

⁠@@awesomegirlawesomegirl2755well yes the Samsung doesn’t have the same feature suite but it does have a faster display, albeit probably a lower quality one, but it’s still a faster display, so do most androids in general from 250$ and up, and it’s way more noticeable than any other feature as you’re literally always interacting with the display on a smartphone when using it, base model iPhones should’ve been 90/120hz since the 14, it’s a very big problem in an otherwise great phone, some people really can’t stand low refresh rates and either go pro iPhones or go android just over the refresh rate. I personally love the colors of the base iPhones , don’t care about literally any of the pro features, but still can’t go base model because of the 60hz screen, it’s a deliberate flaw in an otherwise fantastic phone, at 800$ it’d be too good of a value with 120hz.. and it is for people who don’t notice the difference in refresh rates.
