It is 😮not about a budget friendly phone. Apple is all about its high brand status. They see that budget phones have caught up and better their iPhones and are selling them at half the price. iPhone is where half their revenue comes from and if their market share drops below the 90% that they have now it will kill the company.

Good point ☝️ They have to do something because the sales are way down plus there are so many good Android devices out here now.
