Removal of the home button at 2:43 is wrong...lifting with tweezers will likely result in a torn flex cable. Better to gently pry up the 2 contact dot pad first..then there is no stress on the cable.

Awesome video. Everything went smoothly until we turned the phone back on, and the touch would not work and couldn't swipe to unlock. After taking it back apart, removing the plug cover, the first plug came detached from the connection. After reconnecting, works perfectly. Thanks for the video.

This video is great! The only thing that got me confused was the home button part. I messed up and my home button was not responding because I had put the caging the wrong way. lol you left the screws in and they went flying tech fail. 2017 update never use metal to pry on a connecter high risk of cable tearing. I would suggest and nylon stick.

Yeah also take the screws out when you unscrew them and set of being in the plate and trying to put the plate up are you so every time the screws on everywhere and they're not all the same they were all different sizes and should not get mixed up

Worked, the screen was fixed but it was responsive to touch, i pulled off the screen again and now half of the screen is black, when i put it back on fully and turn it on, it's black.

We offer a similar part, item number 2-P-1759 on our site. You would not need to transfer anything, simply connect the three flex cables to the motherboard.
