Hi EZ-Fix, thanks for sharing the video! I have an Iphone 6, the front camera is working great, the the rear camera shows black screen and the flash is not working. in the camera app i get the message that the flash is too hot and that i should cool it down, of course, that doesnt help. I was told by the previous owner that the camera stopped working at some point after he had the screen replaced. I tried replacing 2 other cameras, still it wont work. I tried changing the screen, because maybe it was a compatibility issue, but that didnt work either. I was told that the flash ribbon could also cause this problem, even if it not on the same flex cable as the camera. The other things on the flash ribbon, like the on/off button are working fine. Should i try replace the ribon first, before i try your bridging solution, or will it make no difference? Thank you in advance!

my iPhone 6s camera doesn't focus properly. All pics come out blurry. Will this help fix that issue or is it for non functioning cameras?? Do you do this repair

Yve Alvarez just replace the camera itself, that should sort it. That was a known fault with the 6s.

Is there anyway you could tell me the steps on the soldering I don't know much about soldering and I'm afraid I'll mess it up .....is that flux your putting on first and what are you doing at the end before you brush it?

first we add Flux and them heat the IC to removed safe, we are more Flux to make the bridge and them with sharp blade we take the Flux out and we finish with the brush

I think there is not that much of difference between voltages so he made jumper and the camera will work for any of the two volts, no need for regulation ic

So ive got an iPhone 6, Where front and rear CAM only showed a black display like Yours, i swapped the front CAM with a new one, and then tried to update iOS to the newest one witch now is 10. Problem is that i get error 56 and dont have backup, do i need to replace the Ic or do u think IT Will be enough witch the jumper? Or do i need to replace the chip to get rid of errorcode? I cant update the iOS due to the error message, tis like 80% every time thanx / sweden

Yes i tried a different computer also, one mac and one pc =) but same problem error 56 witch is unknown error, the phone was fine before, only thing not working was both cameras.

So u you are saying, i could remove the ic and it should boot up on ios update as normally?

Ok so after a little reading, it can be the nfc ic causing problems? U know anything about that, people are saying to reheat it. But then im thinking, what temperature and speed flow and for how long. Ive got a good soldering / heatgun station

my phone was all good i just wanted to change my back case and when they change they also changed my camera only the problem with my camera was it was kinda blurry but atleast it was working but after they fixed another camera it didn't worked at all and they again changed it into my own old camera but still it didn't worked.now can u tell me where did we do wrong and the solution for it.please hope u will reply me that would be great help.thanks :)

FYI, even if you're very good at soldering extremely small things, this is a very difficult repair to do. You'll need a microscope and a very nice soldering iron with a micro fine tip. Plus an extremely steady hand. The two contacts that you need to jumper are smaller than an 0201 size resistor, which is 0.024"x0.012". A U.S. dime coin is 0.053" thick, so the long side of what you need to solder a jumper across is less than half the thickness of that!
