Hi bro, what is the line that take the charger to the baterry, i mean when you test fpc battery conector and the voltaje is 0.4 instead 3.7, is the ic u1700 that take the voltaje for fpc battery connector?

I'm not sure what the line is, but if it's USB voltage, then you need to trace the incoming voltage from the lightning cable...it should be around 5V

you'll just get a negative voltage if you do it the other way. Only time it really matters is when you are testing a diode mode.

You can look in zxw tools or the schematics. If you see PP3V3_ACC, then the voltage at that point is 3.3V. Same with any other point that has PP in the name. That is the voltage at that point...I'm not sure what you mean by "in circuit"

Yeah usually in circuit. I only test the component separately to confirm that it is indeed bad after I remove it.

Where did you get the voltage measurements?

well, if you look at the power line, usually labeled with PP, then the voltage proceeds the PP. So, pp5v7 = 5.7V, pp1v8 = 1.8V. If there is no voltage labeled, like vcc_main, then, you will just need to measure the voltage of a donor board with power to the logic board. We know that vcc_main is roughly 3.8V to 4.2V depending on the power source (battery or usb cable).

Do you know the difference between u1700 (u2 Tristar) u1401 and q1403? Know their different functions? Confuses me a bit

Tristar handles the charging of the battery from the USB port. U1401 is Tigris, which handles the USB power. Q1403 is a transistor which I think handles the voltage regulation from Tigris to Tristar.

i have a phone which powers on with a good battery. it doesnt show charge in top right corner, does not connect to itunes. I put in a dead battery it shows charging on black screen but doesnt charge. any ideas? when plugging cord in it when phone is off. it boots but still not charge.

You can get it from schismatic..write any voltage you want in search and you will go to the page of voltage reference

THIS IS SILLY BUT IT WORKS My iPhone 6s Plus wouldn't charge and it was completely dead. I tried different a charger, different cord, plugged it into 2 different USB ports, and tried the adapter into 2 different wall sockets. Nothing worked. I know this sounds silly, but try this 1st before anything else...simply put the part of the changer cord that plugs into your iPhone into your mouth or lick it on both sides, plug it back into your iPhone. It should start charging again. Worked for me like a charm. I had a friend who told me to try this. Talk about saving money & time! Hope it works for you.
