IPHONE 6 Touch Ic Replacement

If the restore doesn't help, than its the IC chip. I found the problem after searching online. There are thousands of iPhone's 6 & 6+ with this issue. The root of the problem lies with the touch ic chips on the motherboard. These touch ic chips are located on the back of the board, u2401 (Cumulus) and U2402 (Meson). This can be caused by even with the slight flexing of the board during normal uses of such a large phone. This causes the solder balls to partially separate from the chip. That is why thousands of people are being affected and apple is well aware of it. The intermittent unresponsive gets worse with time as chip oxidizes. The permanent solution is to replace these chips. Apple keeps deleting any comments on the forum that give this information out. It has deleted this comment of mine and of other people. They are trying to hide the problem so there isn't a class action lawsuit. Try copy and paste it yourself on the link provided and see the result for yourself, they will delete your comment after a day or two for no apparent reason. discussions.apple.com/thread/7028290?start=720&tstart=0

I needed to do this a few months ago, I just got iron really hot. Covered the touch ic with foil, don't let it overhang & use Flux to adhere it. I touched it for 15 seconds just once. It's still going, if it messes up again I might follow this.

The "touch disease" is the reason why I'm upgrading my 6 Plus to an 8 Plus, even if I didn't want to do it right now. I've already repaired it for a hefty price, but after only two months it stopped working again. Apple screwed up badly on this. They never really acknowledged their mistake and were aware of the structural defects it had even before it launched. Also, they never offered a free repair either, they charged customers $149 for it. If the 8 Plus will give me any kind of headache with similar problems, I'm never choosing Apple again.

I use 325C and 45out of 99 air power and it comes off after about 5-10 seconds, but it depends on your nozzle and heat machine, experiment!
